Can you explain how Trump can be re-elected?

As a non-american person, I just don't get it....
And I've spoken to many European or non-american and they don't understand either.
How a man with so little respect for women or anyone different than him, not to mention his law troubles, can be re-elected?
Please explain to me in a respectful way
Monsieur/Madame :Was President De Gaulle and the Fifth Republic a mistake and a failure? Surely he saw the faults of his predecessors and had a vision of the future. I do not know much about his relationship with Yvonne or any other woman. What I do know was that to be a leader you need a high degree of arrogance to succeed, to know what you are doing is right for your country.

Certainly Algerie Francaise and the OAS and the 1968 movement were obstacles along the way,but they were signs of a changing world that were overcome without the need for a Sixth Republic.

Trump, Vance,RFK et al are embarking on a journey that is similar to De Gaulle’s in 1958 and who today can be sure that the Trump renaissance will not be relevant in,say, 2050.

As an English man I do know that De Gaulle was absolutely correct in saying NON to the United Kingdom’s entry to the Common Market. So much waste of time and effort over the last 51 years. Friends yes, Partners never.!

Please explain to us all what the 34 charges were. See if you can find out any of them and list them 1-34. Millions of people have been falsely charged and convicted over the years. In this case people that understand the criminal codes know that all 34 charges are bogus and would easily be turned over on appeal. The Bidden administration knew that when they started. The point was not really to toss him in jail. Just to make mindless people shy away from voting for him because...HE HAS BEEN CONVICTED OF....something.😮 It failed because the majority knew it was all bull shit.

If you don’t understand the charges you should do some research.
Yes, people are wrongly convicted, but not rich people who can hire the best attorneys.
This is not the only example of Trump losing a court case where he broke the law.

I think one of many explanations is the Joe Bidden has brain damage and they tried to lie about it for 4 years.
Biden's mental acuity is still superior to Trump's. It was superior when they both were young, and that has not changed as they have aged. Even if no assassin gets lucky, Trump is not going to last long as POTUS.

You know US civics better than you think.

Your post acknowledges that lawfulness, respect, etc. are irrelevant in our elections. And for that reason, elections don’t matter.

[A crescendo of protest]. BUT …

in reality, elections do matter, although not in the ways or for the reasons represented.

Under the Capitalist exploitation system, elections are a ruling class attack on the working class, the proletariat, the 90%.

But the ruling class consists of two, mutually hostile yet necessarily joined factions.

Both factions WANT to rule; but NEITHER has all the resources needed to rule ALONE.

Elections settle which faction gets the lion’s share of working class produced profit.

Now the specific crisis to be resolved varies from elections to election. But that in-house, ruling class rivalry drives every election.

In place of your question, how can Trump … be re-elected, I would ask, ‘what was the class function of the US 2024 election.’

My answer?

The 2024 election violently realigned the US political superstructure with ongoing class relations and attacks on the working class.

That was the meaning of November 5, 2024.

The “ongoing class relations” refers to the continual assaults on public health, housing, education, jobs, etc, along with repression of worker strikes and struggles for safety, preventing struggles for job security, livable wages indexed to inflation, pensions, etc. Those attacks were the price of enriching the ruling class.

Instead of running that platform, the Biden-Harris campaign ran on identity issues that matter to a small sector of the population. To an unemployed, Native American mother, issues of gender, race, etc. mean nothing.

On the other hand, you have endless funds, freed instantly for war and genocide.

Why was Trump elected?

Every time the administration shut down a strike [recall the US Congress outlawing a national rail strike, December, 2023], Trump could simply smile. And say … see??

“Ongoing class relations” were exactly that. But an election elevates crisis. There is the possibility of a change. But working people listened to the warmongering, genocidal campaign of the administration and KNEW that no change was forthcoming.

Trump win Electoral College and the popular vote NOT because working people believe Trump or support his fascistic agenda; it is because they don’t believe The Next 9% faction after The Top 1% faction.

Having smothered the 90% for years, The Next 9% has no policy meaningful to the 90% to offer it.

A word on the many who actually believe Trump’s fantasy. The question with Donald Trump is this: “should we take him at his word.” I suggest we do.

And when he takes the axe to Medicare and Social Security, many ‘true believers’ will see that far from improving their fortunes, it was Trump’s intention all along to reverse all the progressive policies implemented over the past 150 years.

Why?

That brings the political superstructure into alignment with current economic policies.

And you are going to see simply massive, massive social struggles and upheavals. My guess is that they will come sooner rather than later.

And the special counsel said he was guilty but the were not going to press charges because he is old and his mind is shot. But they don't report that on fake news outlets.
What special counsel are you talking about?

LOL. Abandon the MSM and read Breitbart, RedState, OANN and a few other real conservative media outlets and you will understand what 50% of American voters think.

The usual MSM media outlets you no doubt get your opinions from are basically nothing more than left wing party political propaganda outlets working on behalf f the Democrats, and you can include most European news media in that category too.

In short, as an American, I cannot believe that so many American voters were so pig-shit ignorant as to even consider voting for Harris.

And there you have it in a nutshell. American voters are divided straight down the middle.

And the view you have of Trump is fed to you by the left wing, who hate and fear Trump.

We who support him on the other hand, see this man.............a hero who has continued to fight for the American people despite being persecuted, survived multiple assassination attempts and every obstacle they can throw at him.

And the end result is.....47! And fuck the Democrats.

@Almostavirgin I hope you haven't given up hope on getting a respectable answer to your question. It is fairly straightforward to comprehend why Trump prevailed despite his flaws and criminal issues. Read @ChloeTzang here and realize that enough people think like her/him [I'm not sure which at this point] and give him their votes regardless of his moral or legal issues just to remove the other party from the Presidency. They didn't have another qualified person to standup for them.

In America, it is evident, that common sense and reasoning are not always a prerequisite for selecting a president. That also applies to people he appoints as advisors. A good number of them so far are crazies or under investigation for sexual crimes as well. America has lost it. [An expression that means they gone bonkers.] ;)

Haven't you figured out by now that Brexit was a very bad idea?

Here's how and why Trump won:

The Left (democrats):
-hates America, puts America last
-extreme racism, especially against whites
-hates women, can't figure out what a woman is
-pro war
-targets children for sex and transgender agendas
-viciously attacks anyone who doesn't conform 100%
-wants to destroy America

The Right (Trump):

-
loves America, puts America first
-race doesn't matter, only meritocracy
-loves women, protects their rights
-anti war
-protects children from sexual predatora and transgender agendas
-embraces all types of people with differing views, understands we don't agree on everything
-wants America to be great

There is a famous quote going back to the Nixon administration (that's how old I am so I speak with a historical perspective) when one Party matron was caught on camera for her comments and she asked incredulously, "How'd he win? Nobody I know voted for him!"

We lie to ourselves.
We lie to each other.
We lie to avoid consequences,
real or perceived and gain advantage.

This has become more pronounced as we have encountered a mountain-sea change in information technology.

The media used to be the filter, now we filter the media.

Friends and family have even become electronic communications (we spent less time physically together, but more time in the void communicating with them).

There is timing in the void.

Trump won because we have two choices and we hate DC and this time, he was the only other choice. Under Biden, DC was Bureaucrats gone Wild and we hated that so, "You're Fired!"

NEXT!
