seri, I would love to read your writings. This thread has given me a wonderful idea of the physical experience, but I would welcome a look at the emotional side, too.

Hi Lamont! I DID find a rattan cane in SF - they are selling them at Stormy Leather which has just been taken over by JT's Stockroom. (On Howard between 7th and 8th.) I mentioned to them that they appeared to be the only store in SF that carried them. They were surprised but then did remark that they run out of them fairly quickly.

Unfortunately, they only have one kind - it's thin, very stingy, good for a beginner. I am planning to get a couple more at the Flea.

One of the first "toys" Master and I bought together was a cane and I love it. I love when he starts off slow and then speeds up, the sound of it moving through the air and the sting as it hits my skin.

The only problem we've had is how to keep my youngest cat from running off with it.. The Little Mistress (her nickname) loves to walk around with it dangling from her teeth.
