19 T-rantosoreass

Impressive variety of styles. How did you get on to the pluperfect business? Do you lurk at that Brand X website?

After I really gave it some thought, Conjunction led me to Pluperfect. The plea for Mags to stop in your guess list also helped tilt me that way. Nice piece. :)

I love the idea that it's just a random coincidence. :D

08. The Object of My Desire
13. Lost in the Joy of Sin (this was inspired by the words written to Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring)
26. Inspirational
54. Past Participle (an acrostic)

I was about to post this poem, Imperfect Perpetuity, which I had put up on June 3 on a different poetry site. Mags commented on the oddity of pluperfect, which is why AH and I thought he was the originator of the Pluperfect craze here. Piscator, are you an undercover grammarian?

I tell you what - it was a FUN challenge in itself to see how much I could abuse the word.

And had it not been for Piscator, I would never have gotten the idea.

I'll have to re-read all the entries again to see which are the most erotic because I don't believe in the whole separation between porn and erotica argument.

For me there is a clear distinction between erotic and porn, for me the better writers are able to straddle the line and add art to the cunt and cock,

There is the erotica written in subtle metaphors
and
The more blatant descrptives
with metaphorical descriptives or sonic elements
blended in
to seperate them from prose.

To you, I am enough

And

Insatiable

Are the same poem written from the two perspectives

To me, if it doesn't butter your popcorn, it's not good or great erotica/porn. If 3 out of 4 people say it floated their boats despite having blatant content, it's good to great erotica/porn in my book. Bad to just plain awful would simply be due to poor writing in general.

I do agree that writing ability plays a large part in the conveyance of a message and also enjoyment of it
however the defining line for me is content based as well.

It's the same for me in an artistic black and white photo
Vs
A playboy triple xxx photo

Popcorn?!?:eek: Thought you were a bit showier than that!!

Seriously I'm impressed that the author of the plumperfectoid pomes also wrote Beauty Marked, Luciferous, and some of the others. (sweeps floor with hat plumes as I bow)

I think #32 Plurpefect is the most erotic out of all my entries.

Who in their right mind isn't turned on by forbidden alien tentacle sex?

derple derple derple

36. Poor Emily Doe
66. Pluck..........fuck

I've named those that have owned up, still some to go ..... tsunami indeed! Have you missed some of yours Ash?

I'm to blame for "Fuck Me" [ meant to be read as an exclamation but forgot the ! ]. The Art of Joinery [a frightful title ] is also mine.

I just reviewed the whole extravaganza, and I want to make sure that I didn't forget to praise these in particular:

Piscator's "Pluperfect", lovely and serene.

greenmountaineer's "The Stevedore's Wife", a convincing evocation of true love.

Lyricalli's "The Ice Cream Melted on the Countertop", one of those surprising cases where the title is the punch line. The open curtains were hot.

Mer's "Inspirational" - the combination of the kinky apparel, the learned discussion of columns, and the lovely sensual fucking, it all works for me.

champagne1982's "Aphrodite and Priapus" - an orchid with a bubblegum center. Need I say more?

Todski's "To you, I am enough" - I liked "dancing in the moth-flap wing beats", and the poetry=sex conceit (I tried that myself in a challenge last year, it's a fertile bunny.)

Magnetron's "Luciferous" - he achieved just the right balance between his usual slapstick, and smoldering eroticism.

Thank you. I was a little hesitant about the title at first, but when I asked for a second opinion, I was convinced (rather easily) that is was pretty good. I'm glad it made an impression. :)

It is an awesome title. And I would have sworn this was written by todski, which us prolly the best compliment ever when it comes to writing smut.

Thank you. :)

I was quite surprised and flattered that he was guessed as the author by a few people. I agree that it's about the best compliment I could hope for on a piece like that. Only surpassed by getting one from the man himself.
