This is so true. I dont think there's anything wrong with posting pictures we like and taking pictures from good angles or wanting to look good. I go to a professional photographer for family pictures for a reason. But it really is too easy to think only those pictures can represent who we are, that anything else is unworthy and unlikeable. I'm thinking of the times I've deleted a picture with my kids or from some memorable event cause I thought I didn't look good in it. I hate that I ever feel like that. The smile, the event, the people... its worth more than a cringe react from me.

You made me cry. This is so true.

Ill be honest and say I almost didn't want to show the picture I posted to the person who really is the safest person to show it to. I'm glad I did. It means much more to me when someone still wants me at my most real or at my worst than someone who wants an idealized version of me...
