Chaos: Don't Stress, Undress

This week's theme is

Scars
Do you know what does my tits in?
Scars used as a trope for the antagonist baddie in a film.

This said, I have none because I'm the protagonist goody.

Unless you count these on my elbows I got from being rugby tackled by a grown man as a 14 year old because I was garden hopping.

Here is a non-surgery related scar. This beauty on my thumb was from a work injury. My thumb got crushed, which led to some nasty soft tissue damage. It needed eighteen stitches. I was lucky I didn’t break anything.

I should have lost my thumb, and I got away with a gnarly scar and some nerve damage. I have some surgery scars from when I got my hip fixed last year, and from when my gallbladder was removed. I’ll share those later on.

The worst part about my little thumb mishap was the fact that it was my left thumb, and I’m left handed.

After 5 months in a cast and an unsuccessful healing of my broken wrist, a sliver of my pelvis was sawed off and inserted into the broken bone as a graft, then everything screwed together with a titanium screw.

35 years later, and still holding strong.

By the time the surgical repair healed, I had been unable to use my right thumb for 7 months. I still find myself holding my toothbrush without using my thumb on occasion.

"We can rebuild him..."

That is impressive. Thanks for sharing.

Younger me, learned a valuable life lesson, don't scratch.

Yes those white dots are scars.

Yeah, try telling that to a young girl who is highly allergic to mosquitoe bites. (Skeeter syndrome) Where benadryl, and other solutions couldn't cut it.

Yay for hypersensitive skin! Only noticeable if I get sun!
