Check in here!

central MO here

got 9" of snow, and high winds. drifts to 16"

rather cold after snow stopped.....house feels frigid, even with furnace staying on almost constant. will be working on all the storm windows this summer repairing and installing properly. some doofus didn't install them right the first time (before i met SO). so may as well not be there.

oh well, forcast temps after the weekend are for the 50's. blessed relief!

Rutland County, Vermont

nearly 2 feet of snow, the banks of plowed stuff is taller then I am... but I'm fine. Every school, college, university nearly in the north east is canceled - but mine isn't.
Even have a professor not make it -- but fwd. the exam I had to take to a proctor...

that should be illegal.

I'm fine too :D :p

Got "your" snow on the news just now. Images of a Federal Express double gargo thing smashing into a police car that was apparently monitoring the situation with a live camera. Weird. Good thing was (or so they said) no one was hurt. It looked really bad!

Pittsburgh area got about 7 - 8 in. snow...freezing temps...it's 11 F. right now and just frigid. Got worried yesterday as the power was out for a couple hours and I was afraid it was gonna get REALLY COLD inside as well (I have Love Birds)...but finally it came back on. There were like 1500 people without electricity due to the storms here...

My dog has a grand 10 minute romp in the snow every couple hours but it's so cold that's about as long as she lasts out there. :D I just stay inside calling out to her: WooHoo, Cinnamon! Go get that snow~!!!!

Phoenix AZ checking in--no weather worries here.

I am worried about all of you in the colder climates; I'm a former Montanan, so I have an inkling of the freezing temps and snow dumps.

Keep warm and be careful out there on your walkways and roadways.

Checking in.

Northeast Victoria, Australia: current temp mid 90s. 9in dust, mod/high humidty light breeze.
Weekend forecast 105+ , stong hot northerlies, dry storms, extreme fire danger, possible dust storms.

Yeeesh--you have the other extreme--no fun either.

MG, that wreck with the Fed Ex truck happened about an hour south of me.

pq, and Denae, send some heat this way please. I'm sitting here shivering. :(

You bet. Have a safe trip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good weather.

BG--We are expecting more snow this weekend. It won't be nearly as much this time, mind you, but it's enough. Someone make the snow go away.

It's snowing right now. I feel like kicking Mother Nature in the shins.
We've gotten a little more overnight but the sky is quiet this morning. I'm sure that the post-teen will earn his keep today. :D

Ease my mind. If you live in the US or Canada and you're in the middle of this latest winter storm, let me know if you're okay.

I used to hate summer, but now I decided that I hate winter.

its snowing where i live right now..I cant wait until spring..

More snow. B broke the snow shovel. he had to walk down the street to the hardware store because we can't get the car out of the garage until he shovels. Is it mean that I laughed? ;)

we had ice and snow here in the DC area last Tuesday. the roads are back to normal now, but there's ice piles everywhere! If you didn't get it shoveled last tuesday, it's still ice, and won't be going anywhere until later this week, when they we're supposed to get in to the 50s.

BG, I'm with you, I HATE winter!!!!
