I find it rude and condescending for them not to get linked there, since it's much better to show someone how to find the information on their own, then saying that we do nothing on these boards but sitting here and waiting to answer the same question again. we should be looking for new questions that need answering, not explaining the basics of anal sex again

1. wow, I thought I added that one.
eh, its there now.

2. I still take suggestions.
I still update when I see good threads to add.
I take out old threads when they are linked to new poster's threads so everyone that doesn't check the edit dates sees that it is still updated when I see fit.

I make a collection on Word - then put them in after I fill a page or two so I do work for a half hour, instead of nit picking every day.

3. I don't add everything so there is good conversation still.
Conversation is why the HTCafe was created, it was "clogging" up the HT forum.

4. I have seen it pop into threads, both good and bad for all reasons listed already.

Its a known fact that directions, instructions, FAQs, manuals and stickies aren't read by most people. I leave it in my SigLine and people still PM me (old and new) every other day that "wow, what a great find, thanks..."
but people have their sigs off.
people don't read them.
people still want instant gratification that the internet offers instead of looking it up.


5. Furthermore, and just my 2 cents, I know the stickeys of the HT were consolidated ... but they were quickly undone to be singular again.
Does anyone else think its a good idea to make one "Welcome new and old members, please read before posting" sticky and add all the info and greetings to it?
Add the facts pages to the Manual Sticky or vice versa?
This way there are 2 instead of 4?
Just because there are a dozen stickys up top, still doesn't mean people are going to take the time to read them... singular or combined or not *shrug* lol.
as we see by this thread, and many others like it.

I've been debating on what to do with really good Cafe Threads.
Thoughts? Comments?
Suggestions to put certain ones in?
I can solidate a couple of the main topics and seperate it into How To
and How To Cafe ... it'll help people see the difference as well when we seperate what is How to and what is Cafe material ... there are still quite a problem with knowing the difference I've noticed...
