Is there any reason why you can't give your Master a key that doesn't open anything? It's just a symbol, right? So go out and find a really neat antique key and give the person that. As a symbol of your love, devotion, whatever you want it to be. I don't know many people who don't like gifts from the heart of the giver. Especially when it's not a holiday, but given "just because". (And antiques can be pretty cool.)

i have two collars that are just for play. one is black and has an O ring at my throt. the other is a red dog collar.

my collar, the one i wear every day, A and i picked out together. he said he didnt want to pick something i would have to wear every day in case it was ugly and i would hate wearing it. so he brought me along for my input, and i picked out teh one that is currently around me neck. its actually a choker, since i work in schools and have to be "appropriate"

I have three collars right now and a varying aray of chokers that I have picked out and bought myself. We've talked about him giving me a collar that he chooses, but that's not something either of us really want until we are face to face. That would sort of be like him buying me an engagement ring and sending it to me in the mail. :/ Right now I kind of think of my collars and chokers like when you have a boyfriend in grade school so you start wearing rings on your ring finger. But that's me.

Now my friends just added a second sub to their relationship and the master of that house told the first sub that she could pick out their collars but they had to match. So really depends I guess.

I have a black leather play collar which was mine before Andante and I met.

We have discussed collars and at present do not feel the need to have one that represents ownership.
I wear a chain mail necklace that he gave me a few months after we met. But, I can take it off when I wish. My taking it off is not symbolic of a change in our relationship, it means I want to wear a something else because of a situation or the outfit I am wearing.

If we ever get to point of my having a collar I guess he will choose it.

I will want something shiny and pink, he won't lol

Dolf, has a very sexy cat collar which is a perfect example of my choice. Sweet, narrow band with lots of shiny bits

I have a black leather collar that has a red cross dangling from it. I really love it and it feels so comfy to wear. We was looking for something that i could wear in public without it looking too out of place. We chose a few together but my Master had the final decision.

I have given my submissive four collars over the last several years. The first was her training collar when it was decided this would be a relationship. It is broad, sturdy and has the appropriate D ring in the front. When we progressed to the point of commitment, I got her a simple silver chain to wear 24/7 as a daily symbolic collar. When I moved into a house with a pool, we found a cute pleather collar that she can wear while swimming that also has a D ring. For public and formal wear, she has a custom, narrow leather collar with a very tiny ring in the front. Each have their own meaning and function and each serve their purposes well. Best wishes.

my first collar came as a total surprise. He did not give it to me at that time... Selecting it was one of my tasks.

Oddly enough, i had been eyeing a couple of pieces from Tiffany at the time. So, as i recall, i showed Him two of my favorites and He made the selection. The only truly important thing to me was the symbolism of Him choosing me or the symbol of belonging to Him. Depending on your view.

He will choose my final collar. W/we have discussed it and that seems to be His verdict. (lucky me... that just happens to be my preference! )
