I would say that being pretty has a lot less to do with how well you do on an Internet forum than in daily life.

Or do you think men only care about how pretty a woman is, even online?


I don't think there's less quality men here than women.

I think overall the women on here are more intelligent and/ or interesting than most of the men here. I'm guessing it is because it takes a certain type of woman to want to be on the lit playground. But there are some really great men too. Even though their average drags them down, there's enough men in sheer numbers to make it so that the quality men aren't really a luxury item. It may take a while to weed out the riff raft but it's not really hard for us to talk to the men we want to talk to.

Bloviating? I'm not sure why it's a negative to post long thoughts. This is part of my issue with SnS (though I do enjoy it from time to time). There is no room for deep conversation, by design. However, this thread is one that welcomes long interactions. So to come in a thread and criticize one of bloviating (a word I had to look up) is a bit silly.

I've no idea what's going on here. It's 5 AM and I'm running on fumes. Did a quick glance at the chain of posts this lead to and have to say, S&S is like a jumping onto a running treadmill. I went in for a couple of half-hearted attempts and was promptly thrown off. Then I got a bit of time on my hands this winter and sat down and actually interacted with people instead of dumping the occasional one-liner. And man was that a great decision.

Well, yes. But I did get to know those people from the thread in question. I only really knew EnbyKnight when I first started spending time there. That quickly changed.
