Come out of hiding thread

Hello :)

I'm leaving town tomorrow to go visit family over Christmas. So now I'm up packing and wrapping presents and sorting out odds and ends around my messy home.

No snow here, but hopefully we'll have some where we'll be for Christmas. Probably won't be able to check in here for a week or so.

So... Merry Christmas to all!

*hugs all around*

I was gone for a really long time, I had to take a hiatus from Lit. I'm back now, and just wanted to say that I really missed all of you guys here on the BDSM board.

Well, guess it just goes to show, careful what you wish for! We got 8" of snow Wednesday night. We are properly snowed in, and we're expecting more on Saturday, along with high winds and potential power outages. But it's beautiful outside now, and we're having fun with sledding and other snow activities.

Hope everyone is enjoying the last days of the holiday rush!
are you my neighbor?

On the tail end of a snow storm, we have 12 inches of heavy white stuff so far tonight. No shopping for me. I'm snowed in.
The views here (The first photo was taken from the front porch earlier this afternoon, the next was taken form the back yard, just 20 minutes after the first flakes fell) make the shoveling not seem so much like work.

No outages here, LifelongCyn, but looks like we are living in a very similar winter wonderland.

That's entirely possible. It seems all of the northern US is experiencing some extreme wintery weather. We here in the Pacific Northwest are now preparing for a major snow and wind storm. The snow started at about 3:30 and the wind is starting to pick up now. Our neighborhood roads are basically sheets of ice already, so I'm anticipating being home bound for a couple more days. Two years ago, we lost our power for 8 days after a similar storm, but the ground was saturated rather than frozen. It's going to be interesting, and possibly not in a good way.

Just in case it's another week without power for us, hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Hope you enjoy your visit and the holiday, rinka, but then hurry back! Miss you already!

Hello satindesire, and glad you're back. I always enjoy reading your posts.

Starts a nice roaring fire as puts out stockings over mantle. Fills them with all sorts of yummy goodies for sweet tooths here. Hangs mistletoe in doorway and settles down in comfy chair to enjoy Christmas music on stereo and has selection of Christmas DVDs. Starts by putting in," It's a Wonderful Life".
"Have a holly jolly Christmas, it's the best time of the year."

As we come up on day 8 of being snow bound, i am soo sick of my family and i miss my friends. i am trying to be in the holiday spirit, i really am, but mostly i just want a spanking right now.

Oh hey, does that count as a Christmas wish?

*looks around hopefully for Santa*

Hellooo... I'm back home from Christmas celebration with family. Feels wonderful to be home.

We had a nice calm holiday with a little snow, too much eating, lots of board games and relaxation. Hope you guys enjoyed your holiday too. :)

It's awfully quiet around here lately, so I hope that means everyone is busy enjoying themselves. So, anyone have plans for New Year's Eve?

We are doing our usual hanging out at home on the eve and then going for dim sum with the family on the first. Woohoo! Hope some of you are hitting the town. I need to live vicariously through someone. lol

I have plans for New Year's eve. I'm going to a party where plenty of my friends will be. It's held in a special house, like a commune but where everyone have their own apartment. They have some shared spaces, with a big dining room. This party will be there, friends of mine arranged it, so I will know a lot of the people, but not all. It will be great fun for all ages and plenty of room for the kids to run around. Potluck, drinking, dancing and karaoke... I'll be fine. :D

And we'll spend the night and hang out a bit in the morning too, so it will be a good start on the new year as well.

No worries, Stag, it's been waaay quiet in here lately, so any conversation is welcome. As for game talk, does Rock Band 2 count? We got it for Christmas, and it is the one and only game I think I can sustain interest in. I'm the drummer and part-time singer (when I can wrestle the mic away from my 6 yr old) in our family band. I'm just starting to try the medium levels. Woohoo!

Happy New Year, everyone!

my powers of geekiness are overwhelming at times.

it looks like i've accidentally let them smother my very most favoritest thread.

nooooooooooo

Awww I don't think you smothered the thread Stag. I think everyone's just been busy with the holidays/cold + flu season etc :)

Its a busy time of year to be fair. Everyone is recovering from being landed on by every family member they have.

Hi, Lady M! Missed seeing you around. How've you been?

I'm hoping the thread picks up after the holidays, too.

Hi there, my name is Lisette, I'm 33, happily married and I am new to the Lit personals, I've been reading the stories for a couple of months now, not sure why I joined the personals (other than to be nosy) :) I just wanted to say thanks for the warm welcome!
