Just stopping by to say hi. Have been lurking occasionally but otherwise have been horribly busy and so on. I tend to stop by more when Sir is out of town as he has been for the last week, hate it when he is gone but work calls.

We are expecting baby number 6 in October. Who knew that submitting would finally relax me enough to be fertile. lol That reduces some of our time for each other but we have made it work. I miss the people around here though nopt many in the "vanilla" world understand our household.
Hopefully I will soon have more time to visit.

Doing well except want to spank martha stewart, her patio furniture is for not easy to assemble. Have one of 4 chairs put together and have three more and a table. Ahhhhhhh , hope all is well with you. lol

The things that were said in 2008 at the launch of this thread are still true for me in 2010. It would seem then that human nature does not change: a newbie has come here and feels too uninformed to participate seriously; the cliques are strong and intimidating; The Playground has more misfits and so one has found a place there among them.

These things said though, I started out here and wandered into The Playground and now returning here I am a bit surprised to see many of the same people here as regulars. I suppose I'll try to be more of a regular here as well in the future since I have chatted with some of these people in The Playground.

Agreed. I started back participating in Lit not so long ago, and only been back on Fetlife the last week. Of the two, I found Fetlife was even more intimidating. I think it's the nature of both the medium and, well, people. We do form cliques and friendships and stuff.

I had decided that I needed an outlet where I could talk about stuff and participate, so I needed to make the effort. And I do. It still scares me when some of the big guns I read on here comment on something I said, and I live in perpetual fear of being shot down and humiliated. Er, well, maybe not. But there is that element.

One of the hardest things I find about Literotica to deal with is the library threads. Often a discussion will start up, and the response will be "oh, we already talked about that one, go here and read." That's fine if someone is researching, but most of the time I'm not here to do research, I'm here to chat about stuff I like. So yeah, that one I still struggle with.

I try to get on and welcome new people as well, mostly because I know how hard this place is to get into. I know a few other people do that too, and I for one appreciate it. But in the end, the only thing that seems to help is perseverance.

I guess the simple answer is: this medium doesn't work for many people. Harsh, but true.

I agree with you too Cinner. I've just been posting a few days, but the playground is so much more active than the bdsm area, which is a shame, because it's here I came first and would like to spend the most time.
