helllooooo any one around here? I know I have been hiding but I was looking for my old friends.

I've seen you both on the playground threads and uhmmmm - snap :) - BDSM lurker to start who ended up in the playground.....
 
One of the things to keep in mind is a LOT of people moved from Literotica to Fetlife, and most BDSM/Fetish folks tend to do their chatting and socialisation there.

So if this place seems dead, that could be a large part of the reason.

Not everyone went there.

Fetlife is a site specifically for BDSM/fetishists (unlike Literotica) and supports things like event notifications, they ability to create groups around specific topics (so not just a "BDSM" group for example, but say one around mental domination or another around spanking or...). Also, you can follow people and what they are doing, rather than just what's going on in a group.

I actually prefer Literotica's interface, and I try to keep track of some of the people I know from Lit on Fetlife. For me, Fetlife has a very strong Kiwi presence, so I mostly chat on there with fellow Kiwis. Most Kiwis who turn up to munches are encouraged to sign up to Fetlife and have a poke around. It doesn't work for everyone (and the weird interface is one reason, as I know a number of people who have given up on it because they can't work out how to drive it) but it has the people and the content.
 
I am on Fet as well. Life has just gotten hectic and not on the computer as much as I used to. But do like to stop by here when I can.

Its hard to say what would make literotica more engaging, i think with every forum is breaking into the regulars. Obviously there is a community that talks to each other and makes literotica worthwhile but it can be hard to break into that group.

It is like that, yeah. And I don't have any particularly good suggestions on how to "break into that group" either, other than persistence and hence becoming a "regular" yourself.
