Thank you moonie! :)

I'm usually not so Literotically challenged but I have a stoopid question. How do I put an image in my sig? Have I got to save it to an image host first and then put the image tag in?

I'm feeling really blonde today

You can use Lit as the hosting site....Just use the attachment link when you open the pic he posted....Or I uploaded it to photobucket and you can use the link here:

Just insert [B]/[/B] in the closing image tag.

Still havent had the time to make something up, but i'll hopefully get something done even if its a last minute job.

I am rather quiet in my thoughts/ideas in reference to everyone's submissions. The truth is, I have been overwhelmed and a tad embarrassed. There are so many people who are gifted...so much more than I am.

I'd like to congratulate everyone, not just the winners, but, everyone on their contributions. I am inspired by you all. I cannot draw, paint, or write as you all do. All I can do is take pics and highlight their potential in my limited capacities and thoughts.

I entered this contest. Not sure if it truly meets the subject matter, but I loved the pic I submitted. I hope you all do as well.

Best of luck to all!

I think enjoying creating your piece is the main thing to take away from these contests really. Sociallizing about art and making it and learning things is probably the other part. So its good to read that you enjoyed making and submitting your pic for everyone else to enjoy.

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I am humbled by all the others, including you, which have inspired me to push myself to deeper sense of creativity. I love art in all it's forms. I wish I had more talent, yet I know I have a little. I have my mind's eye, I know it will pay off one day....I just need the funds and time to capture what my eyes see, in everyday life. *sigh* I see so much potential but am confined to my limitations, for the time being.

I know not what else I can say....except....keep on getting on and show the world who and what you are! :catroar:

are old pieces alowed?
That'll primarily depend on the person conducting each contest, but I would venture to say, no. That kinda kills the requirement that each entrant only has about seven days to start and complete a piece, as well as one of the original reasons for starting these contests, i.e.; giving the artists something to do that challenges them during each contest, would all be thrown out the window if someone entered a piece that had been completed any time before the contest started.

JMHO of course.

I would think anything and everything is or should be allowed?

All artist's contributions be they new are old...if it fits then it should be allowed....contests are for everyone,,,past, present and future....if that makes sense...I may be wrong, but I highly doubt it...others will respond, It I say all things are considered! Just my .02 on the subject

I agree with the "new one week" I also think that if someome has an old or reviouwsly shown pic, they shoukd be alowd to remake (if you will), their now perception of a pic or drawing and let th chips fall as tey may...it isn't about winning or losing here...it is about sharing....learning and growing. Just my .02 on that subject

PS I am a typo queen...I am sure there are many typos/ misspellings But to mee what matters is I replied  :cathappy:

I think a pervious work shouldn't be submitted "as is" as the defeats the challenge of the "new one week" as Halo pointed out. However, if the old work is touched up, modified or changed in some way I believe it would fit the " new one week". So, I guess I'm agreeing with you.

(you aren't the only typo queen.....i do that all the darn time and my spelling sucks!! Don't know why Abs keeps telling me that my english is good....I think it still needs work.)

Thanks

I'd forgotten about the one week thing altogether.

She's very shadowy though doncha think? It's drawn from a photo taken when hurricaine Bret knocked the power out and we were messin around by candle light.
