OMG! Did not look at it at first!!
The CC skiing trail picture is beautiful!! Inspiring!!
That CC trail is an MTB trail in summer. They have allowed fatbikes to be on it for a "tour" this Sunday after the skiers go through. If you look at this image, the photo was taken right about the 6k mark of the 50k tour.
Bears are sleeping in the winter.

Here the animals that used to sleep or go in winter don't anymore. We have gigantic black squirrels around the house all winter long. And ducks are staying on rivers and ponds for the winter!

It's okay. In winter you can see through the trees to the inlet and beyond. For the tour, it's usually pretty crowded on the trail and you can't be spending too much time looking away otherwise there might be a collision. I usually ride most of that section every other day or so in summer for a mid-day break from work, so I'm kind of used to the sights and figure that's just the way things are supposed to be.

There were huge crowds last weekend. The snow wasn't quite hard enough to fatbike on, but the skidoo got me around.
