i have no tolerance for being the target of anyone else's demonstration of proof that they have issues of self control via outbursts of yelling.

i grew up in a household where the adults yelled more often than speaking in normal tones.
i was a very unhappy, and nervous child as a result.

As an adult, the louder a person yells at me, the less likely it is that i will find myself capable of hearing anything they say.

i was in a relationship of five years in which the 'ex' used his 'yelling over me' .. as a method of insuring that my opinions could not be voiced/heard. i tried to make him understand how damaging it would be to the relationship. i ignored it for as long as i could & as best as i could manage. i bet he heard me loud and clear though as i walked out the door quietly smiling to myself ... the night i left his miserable ass. i finally was able to get the last word in ... at that moment.

I think to him the yelling is a whole different thing then it is to me. I don't think he has a clue how much it really makes my flight or fight mode kick in. I know he parents like mine were/are yellers. I think to him it just seems normal and I'm odd.

I love that he is willing to try to be my Dom "if I tell him I feel a need for it" (again?) even though it's not his thing but we will really have to talk about what we both want out of it. I guess for him yelling is not only fun but also connotes power. To me, like a raised hand, it creates fear on a level that isn't fun. Even if he has no desire or inclination to do that.

Last night I tried to gently broach the subject. After some time perhaps he will understand and take a bit more care. I know that he wants to please me as I want to please him.

I have stories posted at EroticStories.com (ES) as John J. Jones. One of my readers asked me to come over here.

I had been here some time ago, but didn't stay long. Didn't realize all this stuff was here (forums, chats, etc).

I started to post here, especially when someone pointed out that ES had gone pay for archived stories. I still post there, but was looking to post here since they stay free.

Been a pain getting stories posted here, though. Standards are different. Will essentailly have to re-edit all my stories to change their format. I've done one, and it's pending. If that works, I guess I'll start the arduous task of editing them all.
