My hubby and I both trim ours with a beard trimmer. It is short enough not to get in the way or look like a '70's porn, but is long enough we don't have problems with razor burn (which I got really bad the one time I tried it).

Well I hate pain so I think it hurts to get it done, but you will live . Them you feel like a babies bottom. No stubble the next day. At least a week totally smooth and every time you do it it seems to grow back less. I so love it!!!

There is a critical mass of body hair after which a guy should NOT shave his unit. I'm not sure what it is, but T has it. Anything less, and yes, shave the guys, shave the goodies, go for smooth.

The boys are fine with the razor but the area above my shaft, not so much.
