I was a virgin when I married my wife when both of us were 22. She was a bit of a slut in college, so she was experienced when we married. When she was in her 30's, a lot of men were trying to seduce her, so I gave her permission to have sex with them. One date only, so no affairs. Most were younger men, but one was one of her former college lovers and the other was a 65 year old doctor from Russia who sometimes used the medical office where she worked. When she turned 40, she stopped having sex with others. She is still free, but chooses not to fuck around.

To be honest, I was terribly jealous when she dated others in college, but I only saw her once or twice a month and it would not have been fair to make her sit in the dorm when I wasn't there. I used to prefer within 5 yrs of my age until a few decades ago when I was persuaded to switch to within 10 yrs, but during past year or so, I am back to within 5 yrs if not closer.
There are advantages, but also disadvantages as people go through different stages of life that impact intimate relationships, particularly men.
