I just think it makes a list more clear.

My bestie is a PhD in rhetoric, and she says it’s not necessary because people can tell it’s a list from context, that we don’t use a comma-pause when we’re speaking a list, so why do we have to in writing?

I said, this isn’t speech. It’s writing. A completely different domain of intelligence. And there is no tone, pitch, timbre, envelope, gesticulation, or any other non-verbal cues. Why make someone have to rely on context when you can just add the comma? Does that extra keystroke really burn so many of your resources? Are you that much closer to death now, and you’ll never get that time back?

Stop being a lazy douche and add the fucking comma.

I was never really into older, although my first experience was with a couple several years older than me. I think that may have had something to do with me sticking with same/similar age men all through college. That was a more comfortable dynamic for me. And I married a man who's less than two years older, so right there where I always liked
