Donald Trump, the Racist

I'm actually going to dress up as letitia james in drag for halloween and i'm going to carry an arrow sign that says "boo" pointed at me at all times.

Lol. Don’t skimp ok. Remember to go blackface too.

President Trump has expanded school choice, increased HBCU funding, and enacted criminal justice reform.
Since his inauguration, President Trump has championed policies that have revitalized the Black community, creating a more inclusive economy for Black Americans, providing historic funding for our Historical Black Colleges and Universities, expanding school choice, and giving more Black Americans a chance to achieve the American Dream.

A campaign ad.

Get something that isn't put out by the Trump org.

It's like quoting the bible to prove the existence of god. Fucksakes.

You're really not very bright.

At this point you should just admit that you're full of shit, have no idea of any of Trump's racist history, that you don't care about it and that you support him because of it.

The only thing you can do is deflect. You can't defend, you can't explain. You can just wallow.

Lame-o.

Defend Donald Trump as not being racist in light of every one of these events and quotes. No deflection, no whataboutism. Just looking at these events and quotes, you can even research them if you want - but all of the are verified and documented. None are out of context nor cherry picked.

1970s - Trump being charged by DOJ for housing discrimination. Twice.

1980s - Kip Brown, a former employee at Trump’s Castle, accused another one of Trump’s businesses of discrimination. “When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor, Brown said. “It was the eighties, I was a teenager, but I remember it: They put us all in the back.”

1980s - Central Park Five

1990s - “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.”

1990s - The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino had to pay a $200,000 fine because it transferred Black and women dealers off tables to accommodate a big-time gambler’s prejudices.

2000s - on Apprentice, Trump wanted the black man who won to share his title with the white woman runner up.

2010s - Birtherism

Anyone can play, but the invite goes out to @glamorilla

I'm sure you can explain these. Right?
I get the impression you are unaware of these two facts: (a) When Trump was in office he pardoned Alice Marie Johnson, a black woman who was serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense. She had served more than 21 years behind bars on the drug conspiracy charge by the time Trump pardoned her. The ACLU had previously championed her cause by making two separate applications requesting a Presidential pardon to the Obama/Biden administration but was rebuffed both times.

(b) Trump’s cabinet included Dr Ben Carson, a black man, a world-renowned neurosurgeon, and academic as the HUD secretary. During his confirmation hearing Carson was scrutinized by some housing advocates for what they perceived as his lack of relevant experience. He replied to the effect that considering his academic experience he was confident that he could quickly bring himself up to speed. He served in the cabinet during the whole term of Trump’s Presidency.

I suggest if Trump was truly a racist, he would not have made those moves.

Between this a Trump has a black person that served under him, and helped a black person one time so he can’t be racist, this thread is doing a nice job of people exposing themselves, Adrina.

So there are two items to consider here. The first question is if two acts negate the long history of racist behavior and speech. I am of the opinion it does not. If a person robs a bank but does not steal from their grandmother, it is accurate to call them a thief.

I am glad that Alice Marie Johnson was freed. However I don't think that act negates any of his racist history. The argument can be made that he did it for optics and outreach. Regardless, it is good that she has been freed.

Ben Carson was the only black person that was elevated to any level of authority by Trump. He appointed no black judges and had no other black cabinet members. How do you account that he ignored every other black person for positions in his admin except for the one prominent black donor to his campaign?

The Justice Department undertook its own investigation and, in 1973, sued Trump Management for discriminating against blacks. Both Fred Trump, the company’s chairman, and Donald Trump, its president, were named as defendants.

Okay…that is not under dispute by me, dude. ; )

I don't have a message. This thread is a direct result of an exchange I had with Glam earlier today.

I offered her a chance to prove that Trump was not racist. She was not able to do so.
I wonder how many people in this thread I have on ignore.

Okay, @glamorilla it's your turn.

So, any one of these "quotes" should easily justify your racism. Fantastic.

Ok. Maybe Trump is becoming what he can be, unburdened by what has been. Ya know? Or is that just a dumb catch phrase she hasn't mastered yet? A sales pitch Noone is allowed to do...or understand. Whatever. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, a bit cringe…..but not a big deal.

Thing is, the more you go after her now with below the belt stuff - like calling her “dumb” - the more the black dudes will drop DT like a hot fucking potato.

There’s a price for everything.

Adrina will always move the goal post, you’re wasting your time arguing with the Energizer Hate Bunny.
Traitor.

Lol. I know she would have wanted to tell you that, but that one’s coming from me.

The important thing is to ignore their attempts to assert an unproven premise, for example "Trump is racist". They then expect you to 'prove' the opposite, and if you fail in any way to successfully refute a particular point or argument, they then try to assert their original claim as 'true'.

It's the same tactic used by religious people. They assert god exists by default and demand you 'prove' he doesn't. And if you don't have an answer for every single argument they bring up, they think they by default 'win' the original claim.

Case in point:

By pointing out that adrina actually has the burden of proof for her claim that Trump is racist, her entire position falls apart and so she defaults to name calling and dropping any pretense of actual debate. Her belief Trump is racist is like a religious zealot's belief in god; it cannot be questioned and the non believers are expected to do all the work of disproving their claim.

Classic Burdern of Proof fallacy.
Circular logic failure by Tasty. Red Herrings and obfuscation are favorite tactics for people like SuckToy. Separate the religious crap out of the equation and merely look at what Trump has said and done. It gives a window into his thoughts and definately defines him as a racist individual.

Trump has been criticized as racially insensitive or discriminatory by various individuals and groups. Here are a few notable examples:
  1. Mexican Immigrants: During his presidential campaign announcement speech in 2015, Trump said, "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." This statement was widely condemned as stereotyping Mexican immigrants. He continues this rant at nearly every opportunity and refuses to acknowledge the claim is false.
  2. Muslim Ban: In December 2015, Trump called for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on." This proposal evolved into a series of executive orders that restricted travel to the United States from several predominantly Muslim countries, which critics argued targeted individuals based on their religion.
  3. Charlottesville Comments: In August 2017, during the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, Trump initially stated that there were "very fine people on both sides" of the protests, which included white supremacists and counter-protesters. This equivocation was widely criticized for failing to condemn white supremacist groups unequivocally. The idea that white supremacists are 'some good people' in their beliefs and actions is unconscionable.
  4. Shit-hole Countries Remark: In January 2018, during a meeting with lawmakers about immigration policy, Trump reportedly referred to Haiti and African nations as "shithole countries," questioning why the United States would want immigrants from these places instead of countries like Norway. This remark was widely condemned as racially insensitive and derogatory.
  5. Central Park Five: In 1989, Trump took out full-page ads in New York City newspapers calling for the return of the death penalty following the arrest of five Black and Latino teenagers accused of raping a white woman in Central Park. The convictions were later vacated after another man confessed and DNA evidence confirmed his guilt. Trump has not apologized and continued to suggest their guilt even after their exoneration.
  6. Rental Properties Lawsuits: A Trump apartment manager told Trump he had a lease application from a Black person and asked what to do with it. Trump's reply was to file in in the bottom drawer and forget about it. Trump was convicted and fined for racial housing discrimination. Sounds racists, right?

There are many more of these examples that reflect Trump's racism. It doesn't take more than this for even a blind man to see he is one.

The fifth one is striking and so Trumpian in nature. He pandered to the mob mentality before a verdict, and after that verdict was later proven to be wrong, Trump refused to acknowledge it. Trump is 'never wrong' in his mind.

Can anyone address how these five events show Trump isn't a racist by anyone's definition?

This was on CNN last night as an AI-deep fake message. CNN showed the real video and the edited one in a side-by-side comparison. The one presented here is the fake one. The original speech is nowhere near what is heard in this one.

As an aside, the photo floating around of Epstein and Harris was also photoshopped. The actual image is Harris' husband standing by her side at that event—another fake used to disparage her reputation.

I posted montage of more than one speech...of her practiced "no-so-catch-y" phase. Guess we are to unburdened of using common sense, and seeing she is another puppet that will be propped up like JB.
Anyone really inspired by the previous candidate who got 1% in the 2020 primary? And, is now just basically installed. All the democrats and talking heads saying JB is the nominee sound like kids talking how their dad will be back, he just went to get a pack of cigarettes. Now what? 🙄 That whole thing was down right pathetic.

Honestly there are easily a dozen more democrats far more competent.

We are taking a sham personality contest seriously and not seeing that your interest, the nation as whole, is the last thing they give a damn about.
