Mine is just getting past the prickly stage, a little over a weeks worth of growth. Not sure how long I'll let it get or how long I'll keep it, it was just something that started out of laziness (didn't feel like shaving), and now I'm playing with it. Don't worry, there will be no Duck DyNASTY going on here!

I suspect that as it gets a bit longer that it's going to be annoying and have to go. We'll see.

It can be. Beards are like long hair. I like my beard but it can be a lot to maintain. Every day I trim off a few more extra long hairs that seem to pop up overnight

I did find myself looking at other bearded fellows, checking out the trim lines and length. In the end, I'm just not one that looks good within the duck dynasty.

I cant really grow a full beard like that so I keep what I can grow pretty short. I did let my goatee grow out about 4 inches or so once though

Well, apparently I'm getting old, there seems to be much more salt than pepper in my beard. Mind you, not enough salt to be dignified, just enough, and patchy, to say, "buh bye youth!"

Interestingly, my 'stache is doing just fine.

Me too. My stache is getting little bits of grey in it. Come to think of it the face started to grey when I was around 22 or so. Fuck im gonna be grey by 30

I'm morbidly curious about the Duck Dynasty beard. I mean, I get seriously wet when I'm turned on. If a guy like that went down on me, I hate to think what his beard would look like when he was done. I mean, can you imagine needing to shampoo your beard after sex? Yeesh.

I don't mind facial hair as long as it's neat and past the prickly stage.

I believe this is referred to as "trench beard", a phenomenon becoming more and more prevalent due to the increasing numbers of gushy gashes and squirty girls (shout out to Mr. G, at S.Q.U.I.R.T HQ), combined with the recent spike seen in the number of Hipsters walking around in their skinny jeans, dudes who refuse to spend $42 for four Gillette MACH SUPER blades with 8 blades and lube strip (for that closer shave), and fans and followers of Douche Dynasty.

On a somewhat related note, I read recently where the fine folks at Guinness estimated that in Great Britain alone, some 90,000+ liters of beer is lost per year in the moustaches and beards of beer drinkers.
