bridgeburner said:When I was shopping for editors I found the best way to get a fit initially was to read their story submissions. If I found that a potential editor had more problems with his writing than I do, then I'd cross that person off my list.
Some editors have no story submissions, however. So you can't really shop them that way. I'm a total chicken so I publish under a different name than I post under. You'll never see any stories with my name next to them.
Another way to shop is to find authors you like and then check to see if they're listed with the VE program and willing to read the genre you write in.
