The cost of regulation compliance is built into every product at every step just like a VAT.

So our government proclaims that we are not paying a VAT and that we need one but what we need is for the government to only be involved at the point of final sale, their job is to protect that infrastructure, but they have no business whatsoever being involved with, or knowing the details of, the contract between you and your employer. If something goes wrong with the contract, it is not the business of the government, but the courts, because, folks, we do have three branches of government.
