Endearing Name for a Dominant

I call him Master & Sir interchangeably. If we are out in public I will call him by his 1st name...but other than that I always show my respect by referring to him as Master/ Sir

So basically a BDSM relationship is at it's core a relationship and you can use any endearment that you'd use in any other relationship. That it's BDSM isn't a deciding factor.

Yup. While I refer to Him as Sir on here, when we're at home it's things like sweetheart, darling, dearest etc.

It's ok if I call Him things like Dickhead and Arsehole if I add Sir both before and after it......:D

Despite our rejection of most "BDSM-y lifestylish ritual-ish" practices this is one we engage in. I call him Sir or Daddy most of the time when at home. In public I use his given name to avoid raised eyebrows and questions (we live in a small town).

As the others have said though, those honorifics don't make the relationship but if they rock your boat then go for it! :)

lol. doesn't surprise me. There are certain words/phrases I say in certain accents without even meaning to.

I speak with a very slight Irish accent when I'm very relaxed as well. But I know where that comes from.

Wenchie... reading your post I DO have to confess that I have SUCH a knee wobble for being called Darlin'... pour it into my ear with a soft and sweet sourthern belle accent... Oh my... Um... If I feed you decadent chocolates truffles and rub your feet will you call me Darlin? Please?

Cali, if you feed me truffles and rub my feet, I will call you what ever you want.

Especially a softly whispered "Darlin'" ;)

*swoon*

It's a date! :rose: :D

*runs off to get chocolate truffles and peppermint massage oil.

Those seeking my interest have done best to call me Lordgodmasteroftheknownsexualuniverse.

It's nice when you find something that fits. Like an old pair of jeans, or a giant emperor crown, robe and scepter.

I always went with "Fucker" or "Asshole" or something along those lines, but I'm guessing those are not what you're looking for. ;)

I'd also avoid "Mr. Poopypants."

How about the line from Steve Martin's old joke: The All-Being, Master of Time, Space, and Dimension?

I have always liked "The Grand Potentate" but you can call me tater...

In all seriousness, what about a nickname that is maybe a fun play on word of something, publicly utterable, yet filled with meaning to both of you...

I always smile when I get called 'Bastard' or 'Cunt', its usually uttered under the subs breath or snarled - and it's usually true a the time!

In the Olden Days™, kids, before you came along...

One of the markers of D/s, M/s and any other power disparate relationship, was that there were no "endearing names" for the top person. That person didn't need endearments in the relationship, they needed authority and power, which was gladly offered up by the bottom person.

"Master" becomes the endearment, at least-- in the romance novels...

Or something, anyway.

Good point Stella. I know anytime I was called 'pet' I certainly considered it one of the highest forms of endearment. My use of 'sir' was usually given with the same intent. Any other term of endearment was used because we had a large portion of our relationship outside of the D/s component so was more appropriate in that circumstance.

This exactly.

Jounar is fond of calling me "fat ass cunt" and for some reason, it works. Not on a humiliation level, it's not really "OMG that makes me so hawt and wet!" it's more a "awe, I love you too" moment. When he means buisness it's "sir" or "owner" but for the most part it's a very free form "Love"

See, I just cannot imagine actually calling someone Sir, or Master.................but then I'm a brat, which may have something to do with it:rolleyes:

Neither could I, but it's funny how these things slip out...

And the inner feminist cries inside...

You probably are not a submissive person. :)

Which honestly? Is just fine. You don't have to be a sub to enjoy a spanking, contrary to what popular usage would have you believe. Lots and lots of people do power exchange without framing it in those terms...
