One of the markers of D/s, M/s and any other power disparate relationship, was that there were no "endearing names" for the top person. That person didn't need endearments in the relationship, they needed authority and power, which was gladly offered up by the bottom person.

"Master" becomes the endearment, at least-- in the romance novels...

That is exactly how it is for me....you explained it perfectly. In this relationship...endearments for "him" don't seem appropriate. Using "Master" and "Sir" acknowledges his authority and power over me....and my respect for him.
