Doesn't this depend on how you define slut? The only dictionary definitions I've found are:


I don't know how I define it, personally. Is a slut a woman who just enjoys sex? Does she have to have sex with a lot of men? With men she doesn't know? Does she act as a whore/prostitute but just doesn't get paid?

although the dictionary may not say it, there are plenty of people who consider any woman who enjoys (or has) sex, a slut. Even acting or dressing sexy could get you branded a slut, weather you engage in the actual act of sex or not.

IN the world of some types of music where you hear women being refered to as "bitches and hoes" you see a dynamic expressed that some men unfortunatly hold.

If she puts out, she's a slut/hoe.
If she doesn't she's a bitch.

And then there's the whole Madonna/Whore complex, that many men hold (and women too). Its all or nothing, your a lady or a slut, and there is no in between. and Lady=Virginal (shy, prudish, non-sexual)

I come from a social environment where it’s not really tolerated for men to show their sexuality... think leftish, quasi-intellectual, anti-macho... I was learned to treat females as equals, and certainly not as submissive sluts... Perhaps that’s why I am attracted to this lifestyle? To go beyond all the suffocated political correctness?
