The artist has a great eye, and very interesting dynamics between his subjects. I loved his "her secret life" pieces as well. Thanks AA.

A Desert Rose said:Another by Jack Vettriano... my all time favorite artist.
@}-}rebecca---- said:I didn't see this one when I went through the Vettriano website. That being the case I need to get back there now you have pointed out another really outstanding piece. You have me sold on him Miss Rose. I like his style its distinct and has that vintage influence the subject matter is exceptional as well. Thank You
A Desert Rose said:He's great... a Scotsman (who'd have guessed with a name like Vettriano) who worked in Scotland's coal mines for years before taking up the brush and exposing his true talent.
allposters.com have lots of his prints. this one hangs in my bathroom... called Somebody Else's Baby

I missed out on purchasing this through bad timing and a few dollars just days ago ......le sigh
Salvor-Hardon said:Damn! How big is the original? IF that is 20X30 or better that would be such an incredible piece for a study or deviant library!

Very interesting Deco Artist quite distinctive. I am going to post some of his illustrations from Baudelaire's Flowers of Evil over the next few days in fact. I was disappointed to miss the purchase though an opportunity similar may arise over time.
Descriptive was as follows........
This is an Original RARE Print from 1929, after Decadent, Gothic Artist, BERESFORD EGAN. It is the Ultimate Gothic, Slightly Deco, Sadistic Bondage, Black Print. Beresford Egan was well known for his Decadent, Gothic Artworks of a very Sensual nature. It has come from the 1929 book, "De Sade, Being a series of wounds...". This Print is unsigned, and unframed. It is in Excellent Condition, and measures 6 1/2 inch by 9 inch, (16.5cm x 22.8cm).It would make an Ideal Addition to any Good Collection of Early Gothic Artworks.
Quite small though not an issue , framing would compliment and compensate to a degree .
