Hm, are the natives getting restless???

I think the best thing to do is post the story outline in here, that will give you some idea what I am up to. Basis for the story is this Egyptian Tarot deck I have had for years. The 22 cards of the Major Arcana are all depicting gods and goddesses. The story will be about a priestess who will have to learn the meaning of all to become highpriestess herself.

Chapter 1 is at my editor and chapter 2 is about halfway.

Abs has the text of chapter 1 as well. Am I doing something rude by saying you can have a look as well, Rhino?

Chapter 1
Setup, Bes, Joemtef (=highpriest) and Sameref (=highpriestess) - erotic coupling
Inverted One (= Hanged one)

Chapter 2
Isis and Osiris – incest
Geb and maybe Nut, Nesjmet(=funeral bark)

Chapter 3
Hathor and Mut – lesbian seduction
Inverted One, Ammit(=our devil) and Death frighten Mut perhaps

Chapter 4
Toth, Ptah and Ma'at – threesome, first time?
Apep (=snake) attacks Nesjmet, Chons directs Ma'at

Chapter 5
Nut – masturbation, exhibitionism
Hotep (= our fool) gives Nut the incentive to counteract the rebirthing of Ra every day

Chapter 6
Anubis and Sameref – bondage, reluctance
Nesjmet, Ammit pushes Sjaï (=wheel of fortune) in the way

Chapter 7
Bes and Sameref – romance
Hotep plays matchmaker?

As for Bast, the priestess in my story is a bit catlike, triangular face for instance and feline grace.
This is no more than a very rough outline. I see that I have already altered things in chapter 1. But the main events will stay, I think.

Abstruse,
no "mistake" BOTH names are used...as is Ubasti.
There is Quite a bit of crossover and vaguism is egyptian mythology (some i am sure due to faulty interpretations)... changes in culture and all.

Hathor is often a cow goddess...and sometimes Nut is as well....NUt being the daughter of Hathor.....gets VERY convoluted. The best part is; that i can muck around with much of it and it won't be "wrong".

Interesting point about Eygptian mythology: They liked to combine their gods, creating things like Amun-Ra, Ra-Hoarkty(Ra-Horus), Osiris-Isis, & so on...

Plus showing their gods as people, as several different specices of animals per god, & as all manner of hybrids.

I'm sure that can be put to good use.
