AND, worth noting: Position and angle can certainly influence just how deep of an insertion can be tolerated on a comfortable level. Upraised hips allow the cervix and uterus to dip backward further into the pelvic cavity, allowing for a deeper insertion. Gravity does wonders .... for many/most.

Yep! I happen to work the opposite way - I can take it on my back easily. Once in a great while we'll do it doggie style, or over the knee, but most of the time it's on my back. Position and angle are definitely important! (I find this true for anal too, actually.)

The Crisco was another tip to me - that's more popular among gay male couples than straight ones (though it does cross over of course). But hey, just because a person is straight and prefers female subs doesn't mean they can't go fist a guy once in a while! I've been fisted by a guy myself even though it isn't my usual play.
