For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

This is no surprise that Tuberculosis has raised it's ugly head..... given the conditions, damp muddy filthy trenches, nonexistent clean water and cramped conditions and winter is but 60-70 days away and electric production is at a dismal 23%, no heating fuel to speak of.....
I opened up my Faraday cage, hooked up my shortwave receiver,I 've been spending a little time in my han shack just listening to other ham guys across the globe...... guys this shit ain't getting any better
Side note.....Iran will close the straits of Hormuz, fuel will soar to predicted 10-15 dollars a gallon...... this will lead to civil unrest in America......
When I have more time I try to fill in the blanks........enjoy your day.....

Noooooooo. Indian news sources might as well be Russian on this one. LOL. Actually the Ukrainian troops medical care is close to ours. Ukraine had an excellent medical system before the war started and it has one now, for the military. Russia's medical system is, on the other hand, overwhelmed. I could write an entire post on that and maybe I will if I get the time, but no, not an issue for Ukraine but a HUGE issue for Russian mobiks.

Chloe, you may very well be correct, but I did Google tuberculosis in Ukraine and according to what I read Ukraine does have a problem with tuberculosis in it's soldiers but also it was in the population before the war.....

A Russian T-90M, apparently just captured in the Kursk region, has already been repurposed and is now being used for better purposes by the AFU against it's former owners.

TB has been a problem n the former Eastern Bloc for at least 30yrs. When I served over there then they were testing us. I actually tested positive, delayed the 90 day protocols, and good thing. It turned out to be a bad batch of tests😂…no drinking on the meds you had to take!

On a side note, the Hitler Youth are off to war.

Cadets from Russian military academies have been sent to the Kherson region "to gain combat experience," Kiber ATESH reports. "Cyber ATESH received information from the personnel department of the 810th Separate Brigade of Marine Infantry of the Russian Armed Forces that cadets from military academies have been sent to the Kherson region to gain combat experience. In the units, they are carrying out assigned tasks alongside professional servicemen," the report states.

It is noted that while the 810th Brigade is struggling to survive in the Kursk region, cadets have been left to guard their positions near the Perekop Isthmus. (This is the narrow, 5–7 kilometres (3.1–4.3 mi) wide strip of land that connects Crimean to the mainland of Ukraine. ATESH added that the number of cadets in the combat zone is likely to increase, as Russia plans to make combat experience a mandatory requirement for military academy graduates. Basically, a stop-gap force guarding the gap. If the Ukrainians get there, they'll go over them like a steamroller. Bodies in positions is all those kids are.

Let's hope for their sake they're smart enough to surrender when the ZSU arrives, because as Russia's position in Kherson weakens, I can see the ZSU crossing the Dnipro in force..... and once they're across the Dnipro.....as we are seeing in Kursk, the Russians are no longer capable of maneuver warfare and are already sturggling to find units to fill that gap - and Ukraine is broadening their cross-border attacks. Belgorod seems to be another objective at this point.

The entire market will be affected all petroleum goes through the London exchange, Chicago mercantile, and I believe the hang-sang as well.... a 20 % drop in production is near impossible to make up just from the United States alone, not counting if the folk in Yemen fluff the Saudi oil infrastructure.....
If you believe that the traders in the exchanges won't take advantage of this.... whoa, do you have a birthday surprise coming.....
Another thing, my steady dick works in the oil business, and nobody is drilling to speak of and from some of the pumpers I know personally they/them have/shutting in a lot of wells. We just ain't seeing where the heck the gov is getting their numbers...

Both sides are propagandizing.

IMHO, this incursion is analogous to the opening days of THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE. The only difference is that Ukraine has no plausible strategic objective that could affect the outcome of the war. This incursion will be eliminated by September. The loss of the manpower and equipment that was committed to this insanity will only hasten Ukraine's defeat.

I wish we could turn the clock back to at least 2013 before Hillary Clinton, Victoria Nuland and Samantha Powers incited the coup in Ukraine. Better yet would have been a second term for George H W Bush who had the wisdom to give peace a chance. President Clinton's imbecilic interventions in the Yugoslavian civil war encouraged the radicalization of Muslims which in turn brought us the 9-11 attacks, the Afghanistan war and the Iraq invasion. Biden's disastrous exit from Afghanistan in context with the civil war in the Donbass encouraged Russia to invade Ukraine. The overcommitment to supporting Ukraine which included the looting of 155mm howitzer ammunition stocks in Israel encouraged the October 7th terrorists attacks by Hamas.

Yes the "looting of 155 ammo did encourage Hamas to attack but the real reason is a red heifer and the third temple construction on Mount olive that where the "dome on the rock" stands the Muslims believe that prayers made in that particular mosque are 3 times more powerful/effective....

I don't see any demolition of the Dome of the Rock?

A nuclear-capable Russian Tu22M3 strategic bomber aircraft that cost $293 million crashed last night in a remote Siberian region. Footage showed the moment it exploded. The cause of the Tu-22M3 going out of control was not immediately revealed. Witnesses said the aircraft broke up in midair before crashing amid fierce explosions. The plane crashed near the village of Mikhailovka in Irkutsk region, some 3,300 miles east of Moscow. While the cause was not given, a routine explanation of a 'technical malfunction' was fed to the Russian media.

The Tu-22M suffered from widespread maintenance problems due to poor manufacturing quality during its service with the Soviet forces. The engines and airframes in particular had short service lives. The Air Force at one point sought to prosecute Tupolev for allegedly rushing the inadequate designs of the Tu-22M and the Tu-160 into service. This was compounded by the government bureaucracy, which hampered the provision of spare parts to allow the servicing of the Tu-22M. In 2024, the Russian Air Force had 57 aircraft in service, according to the 2024 Military Balance report by International Institute for Strategic Studios. In 2023, Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence estimated that Russia had 27 aircraft in operable condition.

Approximately 7 have been destroyed or damaged in drone attacks in the course of the war, Ukraine has shot down one, and this makes the ninth. It's unlikely the Tu22's damaged by drone attacks are repairable in the short term.

Ukraine did not inform the U.S. military about its surprise cross-border incursion into the Kursk region of southern Russia, a senior defense official said, and has not told the U.S. about its long-term plan following the move. “We didn't get any advanced notification,” the official said Wednesday. “What the Ukrainians were able to do was operational security, and that is something that I think we should be giving credit for. It definitely surprised the Russians.”

But the U.S. is uncertain about Ukraine’s overall objectives after the incursion, and the official said the Pentagon is “asking the Ukrainians what their real intent is, kind of long term, and how it plays into future negotiations.”

LOL. That definitely ensured the plans would not be announced before H-Hour in the NYT and WashPost. Good move by Ukraine there. They're learning if you want to keep OpSec, don't tell the US a single thing. It certainly ensured that Gerasimov wouldn't be alerted about 5 mins after the Pentagon got any info. The US definitely isn't a trusted partner, that's been made plain by the Biden Administration, and I can't say that Trump would be any better.

No, they haven't started construction. There is the ritual of the red heifer to be preformed. This ritual needs to be done exactly as it is written in the Bible. The main issue is the red heifer, she must be flawless.....no blemishes, never had a yoke placed on her. all of her hair must be red, be a virgin (heifer). I believe there are a few more requirements, she has to be slaughtered in a prescribed manner by a rabbi of a certain status. Her blood then is used to purify the desecrated holy ground. That the presence of the mosque has defiled. Here's to part that get kinda strange, they(rabbinicals) have scoured the world and located 5 possible heifers in Texas they purchased, and transported them to Israel. Apparently one of the 5 has met the criteria... thus sparking the conflict, or so it seems.
If you are a Christian then you know the implications and the absolute affront/slap in the face this is to the living God...the terrifying part of this entire situation is they are trying to bring their messiah..... thing is they may very well bring their messiah but it may very well be the messiah they don't want..... ie the anti Christ..... there is more but this is an overview

At least nine Russian regions send conscripts to in Kursk OblastRussian Telegram channel "Agenstvo. Novosti" says that after Ukraine started its Kursk incursion, relatives of conscripts started complaining about their deployment to the combat zone, either right after basic training, within a few weeks, or even immediately. Some units use it as punishment. According to the channel, residents of nine Russian oblasts and Moscow city reported this. The ZSU has asked that russian conscripts surrender a little more slowly, it seems like they are racing towards Ukrainians to surrender and ZSU is facing challengers with the numbers of prisoners being taken.

In the photo, a platoon of captured (by the ZSU) Russian conscripts are running down a road in Kursk, with their hands clasped over their heads. Some conscript units have surrendered en masse, others that have tried to fight have been annihilated. These young russian conscripts were forcefully sent to the Kursk oblast, mercilessly thrown into the meatgrinder by their command, and were rescued by the Ukrainian soldiers who urged them to surrender. The numbers of Russian POWs Ukraine captured so far during the Kursk Offensive (Operation Triangle) is simply insane. And these aren't just conscripts or FSB Border Guards, they include regular Russian army soldiers, Kadyrovtsi and others...

Now, those conscript units that are being sent in are NOT going to last long. Kids with very little training, not mich in the way of modern equipment, because there is none, and they are going to be against some of the best Ukrainian autonomous brigades (the ones with western training and equipment) that are already being rotated in after the first week of fighting. Russia is also moving units up from the Donbas and Kherson, but these have all suffered heavy losses in the fighting and are only a shadow of what they were and have largely been rebuilt with mobiks.

Over the last few days, we have seen the mass-surrender of several Russian units, a first for this war. The biggest surrender was that by a part of the 488th Motor-Rifle Regiment, plus a squad of the 204th Spetsnaz Regiment of the Akhmat. They held a large field fortification with plentiful of ammo, food, and water. They could apparently have resisted there a considerable time but instead surrendered to a squad of 14 operators from the ZSU's Alpha SBU. A total of 102 went into captivity…. Next, the Ukrainians captured another company from the 488th MRR… (or the 1428th MRR, which was assigned to the former): 80 went into captivity. But, even more important was the surrender of an FSB Spetsnaz unit. Part of this was caught in the open, ambushed and cut to pieces. Really: smashed. About 20 survivors were then captured at their base. The next to go was a part of the 43rd Railway Brigade. Primarily convicts.

Finally, ZSU engineers are being kept busy collecting all the Russian equipment from the battlefield. At least 2 T-90Ms (both were operational and promptly pressed into service with the ZSU), and a number of additional T-72s or T-90s. Apparently (seriously) so much equipment has been captured that Ukraine has once more called on Ukrainian farmers to bring up tractors to help.

The next thing is, the Russian army is no longer in charge in Kursk. The FSB has been placed in command, in the shape of Lieutenant-General Alexander Duymin (‘Conqueror of the Crimea’, back in 2014). He's never been military, he's FSB and he won't care at all how little training the conscripts have. The currently valid law only prohibits the deployment of recruits outside Russia. Plus: conscripts are scared teenage boys who will do what they're told - and the FSB is going to continue trying to use them to create a coherent frontline through lining-up thousands of troops. Whom the ZSU will kill if they don't surrender.....

You might need a map to follow all this....I did, so here's a map of the latest situation in Kursk Oblast. Comments below. I've taken this and pieced it together a little from different sources so it's a bit of a hodge podge and I'm going to add to it this evening as I work thru all these.

Glushkovo sector (lower left where you see 17th FSB): the Russians have only just realized they’ve lost Snagost – and that happened 4-5 days ago… The ZSU's 103rd TD Bgde (and reinforcements) is ‘well to the west of Snagovo’ (and Vneznapoe). The bridge in Glushkovo (over the Seym River) has been hit (by JDAMs) once again (think, this was the third or fourth time), and RUMINT has it that this strike rendered it useless: AFAIK, there are only two other bridges on the Seym River, both further west. That’s including one in Zvanoe and one in Karyzh: reportedly, the bridge in Zvanoe was hit this morning, too. If all three are disabled, the remaining Russians in the Glushkovsky District (these are remnants of the FSB's 17th and 18th Border Guard Battalions, plus thousands of civilians who were in the process of being forcefully evacuated by the Russians), are now cut off from the rest of Russia.

Roman Alekhin says that the bridge has just been destroyed, and Ukrainian Liberation Forces are implementing the plan to isolate the Glushkovo district. THe situation in the Glushkovo district is quite tense (for the Russians). According to recent reports, there have been significant military actions in the area. Roman Alekhin, a pro-war military blogger, has been vocal about the destruction of the bridge and the strategic moves by Ukrainian forces to isolate the Glushkovo district. He says this is part of a broader effort by Ukrainian forces to disrupt Russian military logistics and movements.

Footage of the Ukrainian Air Force dropping the Russian-held bridge over the Seym River at Glushkovo, Kursk Oblast. At least one fighter-launched glide bomb hit the span, destroying it.

Russian "military bloggers" Romanov and Saponkov driving today over a bridge out of Glushkovo, Kurst Oblast, which has been under HIMARS shelling for two days.

Update: the bridge has been destroyed. Google has already been updated. LOL

Here's a more detailed map of the Glushkovo sector - river in purple. By dropping the Seym River bridge at Glushkovo, Ukrainian forces just created a highly uncomfortable situation for the remaining Russian forces south of the river. Those two smaller bridges have already been targeted by Ukrainian missiles and one is likely down. This cuts off Russian forces south of the river (16th and 17th FSB battalions + any other remnants) as Ukrainian forces advance from the east.

Korenovo (on map above, where VKS Rifles is positioned): a column of Russian Army reinforcements moving from Rylsk towards Korenovo was demolished – probably by JDAMs, the last night. That said, it would have arrived too late, because not only is Tolpino under ZSU control: Kolychevka is too. With this, the Russian garrison in Korenovo is cut off from Rylsk. That said, it’s not like much of the town is still in Russian hands. Just its western side.

North/North-East of Korenovo, Aleksandrovka is also under ZSU control: and is being used as a base for raiding operations further north (towards Rylsk and towards Lgov, and beyond: Russian traffic on the E38 from Kursk to Rylsk was interrupted at at least four different points, this morning alone). While time and again one or another of ZSU’s raiding op MRAPs gets detected and hit, in grand total, whenever well-coordinated with UAVs, these raids are wreaking havoc with Russian planning. They’re, regularly hitting them in their "rear" areas, catching the Russians entirely unprepared.

A typical example is one of latest cases, communicated yesterday. A ZSU raiding unit (not designated) overran the better part of one of the ex-Wagner PMC battalions. The ZSU unit caught them as they were bunched up to prepare for their coming mission and literally smashed them. Lots of Russian social media tears resulted…

You could just about flip this around. The Defense of Kyiv, the battle of Kursk and the forcing of the Dnipro left Putinista Russia facing catastrophe....
