For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Why wait for the opinions of somebody else when you can watch and make your own assessment?
As I mentioned in the other thread, I'll be reading the transcripts.

And certainly will be observing the fanboy orgasm celebrations that inevitably will result, including Musk.

Why wait for the opinions of somebody else when you can watch and make your own assessment?
That is all you do here, wait for somebody else to write an opinion, then you post the links to it....

You dumbass RWCJ always say the quiet part out loud....thanks for the laugh bozo.

Putin / Russia is the enemy.

Drumof is Putin’s puppet and a traitor.

Fucker Carlson is Putin’s puppet and a traitor.

Elon Musk is a willing Putin propaganda enabler / amplifier and a traitor.

Russiaguide is Putin’s puppet and a traitor.

SAD!!!

So as an aside, Elon Musk and Aaron Rogers are great examples of the truism “never meet your heroes.” (I know, mostly attributed to Proust)

As a billionaire, Elon Musk's interests align with the Russian oligarchs
And Silicon Valley, and Wall Street, and his attempted union busting in countries like Sweden. People like Musk are the enemies of workers in every country, including in the US.

Those people trying to blame everything on Putin and Russia are trying to get workers in America to line up behind American billionaires, to consent to further financial exploitation. In Russia, Putin uses similar methods on the Russian workers.

Ukraine withdraws from devastated town of Avdiivka, handing Russia key victory

Ukrainian troops on Saturday withdrew from the devastated eastern town of Avdiivka after a year-long battle, Kyiv’s new military chief said, all but handing a victory and key position to Russia.

The decision was made to save Kyiv’s troops fighting in the bombed-out town from being encircled by Russians, according to Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, who took his post last week following a major reshuffling in military leadership.

“I decided to withdraw our units from the town and move to defense from more favorable lines in order to avoid encirclement and preserve the lives and health of servicemen,” Syrskyi said.

With the Ukraine-Russian war entering its third year this coming week, the withdrawal is a stark sign that the fighting is now shifted in Moscow’s favor, following a dismal counteroffensive last year that failed to advance Ukraine’s front-line positions.

Russia's Ambassador Reveals Where Ukraine Peace Talks Stand Two Years On

Take a look at this article and see what Nato used to face as it has molded the minds of military leaders in Europe and in the US. There is a certain assumption there on our part that the Biden administration still clings to that could be the end of what is good in the world. We need to pay attention, we need to understand our enemy and our own politics:

Russia Would Have Tried to Nuke Its Way to Victory over NATO in a War

While the World War III scenario in Europe was always unlikely, it was also the most dangerous.

Victory at the cost of what? 17000 dead, 30000 wounded, 400 tanks lost, 220 combat vehicles. For what? A city Ukraine really should have left for a better defensive position 6 months ago.

Finally the right move by Ukraine.

lol 3 day military campaign. Russia has lost (documented via photographs and geo located) 14,424 pieces of their military equipment. That is roughly 60 Billion Russian roubles turned to scrap.

Some light reading from the Rand org.

What we have known for a long time is, without western aid, Russia will eventually roll over Ukraine, but the Ukrainians will make sure Russia pays dearly for every inch.

Report are that Ukraine was using Avdivka as a honey trap to kill Russian soldiers and degrade Russia’s military equipped and supplies.

It worked.

👍

It probably could have worked longer if the "republicans" in congress weren’t traitors.

🤬

Meanwhile:

Ukraine is still defending, and, with the timely delivery of western weapons and ammunition, along with their domestic drone program, etc, Russia will continue to suffer lopsided casualties, loss of equipment, and crippling financial costs.

👍

Biden is so tone deaf on foreign policy that he is more likely to keep sending "aid" to Israel unconditionally (i.e. using our federal taxes on ethnic cleansing and genocide, as the USA's reputation sinks internationally) and blunder into a direct conflict with Iran (a disaster if it happens), on top of facing defeat in his disastrous proxy war in Ukraine (i.e. pouring our federal taxes down a black hole).

It isn't his war, and dozens of countries are sending tax dollars to keep a free people, free. Sucks that you fail to understand what is the cost of freedom. A whole previous generation knew, and many gave their lives so you could sit back and whine about shit you don't like on the internet.

That's absolutely ridiculous. What is "freedom". Perhaps you should explain to me what that is, and how current wars in Gaza, Ukraine, Yemen etc. bring us "freedom" instead of increasing disasters.

As for previous generations, the US lost in Vietnam, had a stalemate in Korea in killing 20% of the North Korean population, and another stalemate in the Iran-Iraq War (1980s) where the US under Reagan backed Iraq publicly while also arming Iran in secret (Iran-Contra). Vietnam was the single biggest cause in ending the Johnson administration and the "Great Society" in the US, and bringing back Nixon from the political dead. Perhaps you can explain how Nixon and Kissinger then dropping more bombs on Cambodia than what had been dropped in the entirety of WW2 brings us "freedom"?

Today, the warhawks complain about Iran. They neglect to mention that they took out Saddam Hussein in Iraq and then disbanded the Iraqi Army, which massively boosted Iran's power across the entire Middle East. The warhawks are out of control and crazy.

I mentioned earlier in the war the potential problems in the field with maintenance and inventories of spare parts for all of these many different weapons systems flowing into Ukraine from different countries and the problems involved in training Ukrainian forces in the field to maintain them. Now we find out there was no plan to start with:

Report: No Plan for Ukraine to Maintain US Weapons

By Fran Beyer | Wednesday, 21 February 2024

Premium weapons systems sent to Ukraine could become useless on the battlefield because of the Pentagon's "lack of foresight" in making a maintenance plan for Ukrainian troops, according to a Department of Defense watchdog agency report.

Inspector General Robert Storch on Tuesday also cautioned that sustaining Kyiv's armored vehicles could damage the U.S. Army's own combat readiness, Stars and Stripes reported.

"The lack of foresight in this matter is concerning, and should be rectified promptly," Storch stated, adding that DOD is now developing a plan.

Continued reliance on existing U.S. Army stocks "may require a choice between continued support for Ukraine and meeting the minimum readiness requirements for U.S. Army units," one unnamed senior Army official told the IG, the outlet reported.

Note how the DOD is "developing a plan" after the vast majority of what we have given them has been lost. This is how cavalier the Biden administration is with our nation's military resources, taxpayer money, and the lives of Ukrainian men fighting and dying in WWI numbers in this war. This is going to turn out to be one of the greatest military debacles in European history.

(Quoted for posterity, stupidity, hypocrisy, and irony)

President Biden’s administration had concerns about the operation and maintenance of those advanced weapons systems, and delayed their deployment until the Ukrainians were up to speed on them to a fairly acceptable degree.

👍

Meanwhile, right wing idiots like "Right"guide were SCREAMING that President Biden should have shipped those advanced weapons systems at the beginning of the war, BEFORE the Ukrainians had ANY training on them.

👎

As for "Right"guide’s "CLAIM" that “the vast majority of what we have given them (advanced weapons to the Ukrainians) has been lost”, that is FLAT WRONG / A LIE:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/davida...e-still-has-a-thousand-tanks/?sh=e5c53082cd81

From the article:

“We don’t know when Ukrainian commanders plan to commit the 2000s-vintage, four-person M-1A1SAs to combat. We don’t even know which brigade they belong to.

What we do know is that, two years into Russia’s wider war on Ukraine, Ukrainian forces have as many active tanks as they had before Russia attacked in February 2022: around a thousand.

And it’s largely because of foreign donations of tanks such as the M-1s. “Overall, we estimate that two years after the full-scale invasion, the number of [main battle tanks] in service in the Ukrainian armed forces remains near pre-war levels,” the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London reported.

But there’s a catch. The Ukrainian ground forces have doubled in size since 2022. Today there are roughly a hundred army, air-assault, marine, territorial and national guard brigades, each with at least 2,000 people and scores of vehicles.”

😑

That debunks a couple of "Right"guide’s previous "CLAIMS":

The majority of the advanced weapons systems we have given to Ukraine have NOT been lost, and Ukraine’s ground forces are TWICE the size they were in 2022.

😑

Ukraine DOES need more weapons / ammunition AND money for MAINTENANCE of those advanced weapons systems, but "REPUBLICANS" are BLOCKING the funding,

🤬

President Biden has prosecuted the defense of Ukraine admirably 👍, but his effort are being sabotaged by Putin’s orange puppet and MAGAt "republicans"👎.

Full stop.

🇺🇸

As always:

Slava Ukraini!!!
