For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Lazaran. I always wondered what that stood for and I've come up with the following: Linguistically Arsed Zombie, Always Reviving Ancient Nonsense.

🙄

It appears I have broken Russiaguide…

The part about Russiaguide being a coward and a traitor must have struck a nerve…

🤔

👉 Russiaguide 🤣

Regarding the highlighted, how do you think trump would have responded to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, a sovereign nation?

Otherwise, from the second sentence on your words apply directly to trump. Funny how that works, eh?
None of this applies to Trump. Russia didn't invade until Biden invited him to with his "minor incursion" statement. Understand that what was happening in Ukraine was none of our business in the first place. Obama shouldn't have been in there orchestrating a coup against the lawfully elected government in 2014.

The majority of Ukrainians oppose Russian interests and support defending against their invaders.

LOL the US are far away from Ukraine.

Ask Polish people or those from the Baltic states or even Finnish what they think. Finland was neutral since WW2 and decided now to enter NATO.

Why?

Because they would welcome "Russian peace-keeping forces"?

NATO and the West tried to believe their own propaganda that the Russian after the end of the cold war were now peaceful and civilesed. Instead that they started several wars in the Caucasian region and do war als always (as in Medieval times). Their warfare against Napoleon, in WW1, WW2 and after was always the same. Extremely brutally.

That's great then let them fight it out. They aren't part of NATO, and the US has no national security interests in Ukraine. This is a European issue.

They are our allies. We absolutely have national security interests there. Or does the whole "we don't want arms of our enemies.on our border" only apply to Russia and not NATO? I seem to remember that you already admitted that it's a threat to have Russian arms on the border of NATO countries? The Europeans are part of NATO.

Hungary has already said it will not support NATO military intervention or support for Ukraine. Germany isn't going to put any troops in Ukraine. The point is NATO is fractured on the issue of Ukraine. We need to understand that.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO. NATO's mission is to protect itself, not the rest of the world. Europe has always bordered Russia.

Yes, Russia having arms in Ukraine is on the border of NATO countries, dipshit.

Why does it only matter to Russia?

Again: When hasn't Russia been on the borders of NATO?
Then why are they invading Ukraine? If NATO already had borders with Russia....then the existential crisis is bullshit.

Pick a fucking lane.

The existential crisis emerged when NATO proposed to step foot in Ukraine and present a military threat on Russia's southern border which Putin had said he wouldn't tolerate. Joe Biden wrongly judged that to be bullshit so he and NATO went ahead to test Putin's resolve and ignorantly thinking it wouldn't lead to a possible nuclear war with Russia. But now that the Russians have threatened a response to Europe and have started nuclear training of field units east of Ukraine, and after moving nuclear weapons into Belarus, we find ourselves facing a dangerous possibility today...regardless of who was right or wrong in the beginning.

So NATO already is on the border with Russia and therefore Ukraine offers no different threat.

Got it.

No, you don't get it. The Russians are at present placing 300,000 additional troops on Ukraine's northeastern border for an obvious Summer Offensive. Zelensky is now suing for peace, but is it too late?

"President Vladimir Putin said on May 24 that Russia is willing to hold talks about the war in Ukraine, but questioned whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has the legitimacy to negotiate on Ukraine’s behalf." Putin said that Zelenskiy’s five-year term in office was supposed to end on May 20.

It is a mess that we "the west" are not prepared for.

Putin is making up shit. Zelensky is still the President. If Russia has doubts on the legitimate President, they can stop their invasion and allow Ukraine to rescind their martial law declaration (due to the invasion) and allow Ukrainians to hold a new election.

You seriously toe the Russian line every fucking time, useful idiot.

That’s a stretch to say Biden invited invasion, but I get the MAGA talking point. As to the latter, maybe we shouldn’t have been trying to replace a corrupt regime, but the US is not pure white snow when it comes to things like that going way back.

So Ukraine wanted to be part of NATO, a strictly defensive alliance, due to the Russian threat and Putin’s existential crisis was that if Ukraine got into NATO his grandiose plan to reunify Russia would be really kaputsky, so he invaded. Putin would have invaded anyway. But I do think he was hoping trump would be reelected because he’d have an easier path with Trump in charge. But yeah, fingers crossed the brinkmanship doesn’t go to far.

Wasn't it Zelensky himself who limited his term office to five years? I think the people of Ukraine are about to throw his ass out of office anyway.

Martial law is declared because Russia invaded the country.

The legislators in Ukraine can force a vote if they want......but they don't because Zelensky has support of the people of Ukraine.

Ukraine isn't a member of NATO and the Russians didn't want NATO missiles on their southern border. Just like we didn't want Russian missiles in Cuba. It's really that simple.

I've read European sources that say differently regarding Zelensky's popularity in Ukraine. The country is all but destroyed. He can't be too popular.

Well, Ukraine wanted into NATO and Putin kind of said hold my beer. But an important difference and distinction is that NATO is a strictly defensive alliance to collectively defend against invaders. While Russia is not, and has, obviously, been the invader. So your apples to oranges comparison doesn’t hold up. Putin is making shit up to justify his megalomaniac dream.

So why were they fighting in Afghanistan and in Iraq?
