It's hard to lower my opinion of Biden, but he consistently manages it.
The Russians are playing the long game. They want NATO to get rid of Zelensky rather than Russia getting rid of him. Ukraine have lost far more, have depleted American supply of arms in the process, and are much shorter on numerical replacements in the military compared to the Russians.
Zelensky will only be removed by the Ukranian people.

NATO won't remove Zelensky. You should ask Putin why he wanted to kill so many.
The Russians intend that they will, by NATO refusing to send more arms to Ukraine because of the cost. Trump will be more likely to do it faster, as he said recently when ridiculing Zelensky getting $60 billion in arms and then asking for another $60 billion.

Russia are not going to abandon the land that they've got. Ukraine has lost that. That is what I meant by Russia playing the long game. Anyone trying to get that land is getting crushed, and Ukraine can't afford to keep losing the numbers that they are to either death or injury. The Russians want NATO and Ukraine to come to the negotiating table, to get rid of Zelensky themselves, and they will wait it out behind the land that they already occupy along the Black Sea coast.
