You know, I have heard several self-professed Canadians say "aboot", so I know that some do say it. Is this a geographical anomaly? Are Canadians ashamed of this? It sounds like a conspiracy to me! C'mon, people, confess! We won't hurt you. Much.

I shudder every time I hear that. I was at an Internet get-together in Las Vegas last summer and my American friends had a hay-day teasing me about (there I go!) the way I said about, alas a-BOW-t. Next they started in on the whole 'eh' thing and reciting the Bob and Doug Mackenzie thing. It's the kind of thing that makes you want to pull your hair out and laugh at the same time.
And Isabelle.... are you SURE you want to put any part of Maniac's body into your mouth? I mean, I know we have free health care and all but still!
Maniac, I'm glad you didn't get into Canada and that you decided to start this thread to rant on all the 'shitty' Canadians because I find it damn hilarious really.
The really funny thing, IMHO, is that most Canadians probably couldn't care less that you didn't get into the country. Canadians, it seems to me, largely are unconcerned about things.

Thank you mansea for the earlier note. Maybe I will take you up on the advice about trying to re-enter canada if I ever get another chance. It seems as though maybe I was a little to harsh and judgemental of all canadians. The only bad thing is that some of the canadians who have responded to this post has yet to try and change my mind. Each and every one of them have been rude, called me names and accused me things that I do not participate. I do understand that I accused them in a sense the same way they have done to me. It seems to me however that if they wanted someone to have better thoughts about them or their country then they would have gone at it in a better way.
Now for you expertise. You can personally go fuck yourself, you bitch. I will have you to know that I do have a Bachelor's degree from a respected University here in Texas. When you insult my knowledge the way you have then I get offended. I'm sorry if I can't type as well as others and that I have errors, but nobody is perfect.

But damn, if someone offering you a hummer out of sheer kindness doesn't change your mind... I don't know what the hell anyone could do to change it or expand it.
Our border guards can be fucking knobs some times but so can yours (and ours aren't armed if ya' piss em off) although I have never been refused entry to the US they can on occassion make it pretty difficult and painfully slooooow but I have never based a judgement or cast aspersions and derogatory remarks on your entire country because of it.
As far as your educational background i'll take you at your word. If I get my "back" up about something grammer and spelling can go out the window.
In closing Maniac I would offer you some good advice for life, you can take it or leave it. It is always best to engage your brain before you engage your mouth.

Well I am a Canadian and I love my country and the people here. I am sure where ever anyone else lives they love there country also. If you do or don't like where I live I don't care just don't come here if you don't like us. We only want nice people visiting

By the way - not trying to start another flare up or anything like that, just making an observation - seems to me that guys who guard the border in any country are more or less unpleasant.
