I was trying to get my phone to do text to speech and locked myself out of it. I had to do a factory reset! Fuck me running. Good news is I back it up every night.

Got up because I needed to fuckin' pee
As I was setting on the pot I heard it....
The fuckin' high pitched whine of the fuckin'' mother-fuckin' sump pump alarm...
IT IS 4:FUCKIN' 30 IN THE MORNING...
I'm back from in the crawl space under the house having pulled the sump pump alarm out of the water...
The dogs are awake...
I need to call a plumber in a few hours...
AND I AM WIDE FUCKIN' AWAKE...
FUCK!

Watching the inauguration broadcast, crossed fingers for a stray bullet or other object of comparative mortal danger.
Also the hypocrisy in all these speeches is disgusting. "yeah we're the greatest country on Earth except we're still in the 1800's on healthcare and now fit the literal definition of an oligarchy but we're sill so greeeeat." and domestic enemies like Pence swearing to defend the USA from domestic enemies.
Oh well, should be a fun four years I guess...

Well, there are always going to be the few that try to rile up the crowd, but I hope cooler heads prevail and those that are smart enough to go protest this fucking farce, are also wise enough to not go making an already shite situation worse by giving in to petty antagonizing or following those idiots that are spoiling. If things go south, stay with people you know, try to get indoors or find a wall and stick to it, and ( especially around here ) don't pick fights with the cops. You will lose.
Be smart and safe out there.

I have kept my politics by-and-large out of Lit, but I'm in a dark fuckin' place right now fearing a loss of many things I have busted my mother-fucking ass to accomplish of acceptance and justice of all over the many years I have been active in peace and justice efforts. I. AM. TIRED. But I fear if I don't stay active much will be lost.

The current dissonance is all about fear. On both sides.
On the left, they are afraid that the right will take away the gains made in the last few years.
On the right, they are afraid that what little they have left will be stolen from them then used to take even more.
It's about fear. Our leaders (on either side) have fed us a bunch of lies designed to make us afraid. The funny thing is that both sides are telling us to be afraid of change. The left says to be afraid of things changing back. The right says to be afraid of things changing for the worse. The politics of fear is very real. And they are PLAYING US.
The best thing to do right now is to keep your head. Keep it down, keep it sane, and keep going forward with your life. Once the fear subsides and the dust settles, we will see where we are and where we need to go. Until then, don't panic. And don't do anything STUPID.
God, now I sound like some fucking idiot who fucking thinks he knows what's best for people he's never fucking met. Fuck that. Fuck whatever. Fuck me.
