get some conversation going on the HT.

EJ slowly sips from his coffee mug and rubs his chin... pondering two of life's greatest mysteries. first, he wonders, how did he become a sub-plot in this twisted tale... second, exactly why is it that he feels compelled to speak of himself in stage directions and thought bubbles, each taking the third person perspective?

puzzled about these grand enigmas, EJ returns to his coffee and explores other, more sane areas of lit.
First rule of self defense, always blame those not present and unable to defend themselves.

Quoll sits quietly contemplating the evenings events; everything was coming together perfectly, bi was delivering the coke at this very moment, scalywag was tracking down silverwhisper after his unfortunate incident with the ceiling fan and EJ was quietly pondering lifes great mysteries as he waited for his guests to arrive.

Time to make the call.

Ej?
Yeah, that you quoll?
Sure is bro, you finished making those pizzas yet?
Yep, all done, got some donuts too. Where is everyone?
Bi is on her way with the coke, I hope it's not all diet, I can't stand that stuff. Scalywag has gone to get Silver, the silly bugger hurt himself making the sushi for tonight.
Yeah, he will do all that backflipping stuff for no apparent reason. Still it should be a good night anyway.
I think so too, although you'll have to give me a bit of time to refresh my memory on poker, not normally my game....

Well, all 28 of you who are currently viewing the HT, how are you tonight?
sorry to interrupt your party, and this is probably a stupid question, but....

how do you know how many people are viewing the HT?

Top of the page, click on "home" that will take you to the main forums page, it's all there. Feel free to interrupt.

custom titles aren't all they're cracked up to be, scalywag. the thought, preparation, consultations... not to mention the means testing and search committees. it's expensive, time consuming and positively loathsome.

anyway... where we playin' cards tonight? and will bi wear that same see through body stocking she had on last time?

sometimes i wish i wore depends so i could sit here in front of lit all day long.

Not to mention the queues. You should try finding what you need at "Custom Titles 'R' Us, sheesh, once you have fought off the crowds you find all the good ones are gone anyway.

:D Depends, now there is something that doesn't appear to be culturally different.

Surprise seems to be part of her MO.
Aaah that explains her reluctance to post face avs, surely she has read all the "Magic" threads in the Blank Manual. ;)

If you want, we can play here....after tonight's ball games are over of course (next week and a half are going to be fun.)

which games are these? are you speaking of my yankees and how they're creeping up on first place in the AL east? it's bucky dent all over again... or, as they say up in boston... "bucky fuckin' dent"

it's scary how right you are. this season has progressed in cycles, and I sense a sox winning streak on the horizon. As long as the sox win as many games as the yankers, it's all good.
here, when you say "sox" i assume you're referring to the WHITE ones. objectively speaking, i can see them making a serious problem for other teams in the DS and CS.

I did notice though how your October 2004 blog entries ended with the yankees up 2-0. what's up there? (are we really supposed to believe the computer problems excuse)
2004 was a sad, strike-shortened season. i'm stickin' to that story... it's the only way i can cope.

I have to admit, after last year's win, I thought I would be good for 5 years of no complaining no matter how bad the sox did. I would probably be OK if it was anyone else but the yankees breathing down their collective neck.
again, speaking objectively, i had some strong hopes for baltimore at the start of the season... i guess i should've known better. i truly enjoy "the rivalry" but wish the division was deeper than two teams.

i have to admit that i haven't been following much baseball this season... i felt that NY didn't have a team and still am hesitant to expect anything from them. i'm a fan and always will be... but i won't spout off unless they're winners. right now, what i see in NY is the same crap they had when i first became a fan in the mid-80's... lots of names and no cohesiveness, no "team". that's why the mid to late 90's was so magical... a collection of incredibly average players with a couple of lynch pins to lead and set a bench-mark for the other guys.

in any case, we'll see what happens. i'm hopeful and i'm a fan... but i'm not stupid or blind.

Last fall I bought a Red Sox World Series Champions doormat. Every time I walk over it I wonder if there is some hidden meaning to it.
:D :D :D :D

*dies laughing*

That was the best story in the entire world. :D Someone should submit it to nonerotic lit proper, hehehe.

Ok, yankees are now in first place. time to go out and stomp on my doormat.

i saw dat. now we'll see if they can hold it.

*EJ runs to scalywag's house to stomp on his doormat with terry gilliam's foot from the opening credits of monty python's flying circus*

Scalywag,

Whenever people write notes like this to other people it makes me want to copy their style and giggle a little.

Any ideas why?

Thanks,
