I should be ashamed of my lack of plant knowledge....I do not know the name of this plant but it is common to Florida...it has a strong honey smell to it.

Turkey Creek Note the cut palms, these were cut to keep the Creek clear for canoers and kayakers, probably from the Hurricanes that came through a couple of years ago.

A Black and white Warbler, these little birds are extremely active...most of my shots ended up as blurs.

Lol thank you starrkers We had a Baltimore Oriole singing in the tree the other day....I went inside to get my camera and he left....*pout* However....as I was trying to shoot another bird shot this morning guess who showed up?

Driving along on Merritt Island and on the side of the road I saw....Flowers! So I found a place to park and took some pictures. Very low growing and small.

I did not realize how beautiful they were until I saw them close up.
Unknown species...may be an exotic...or a native...I do not know.

these flowers are common to ditches and swamps in Florida, I believe they are in the hibiscus family
