Goth Girls of Lit

No, we did a maid costume since he loves the full service concept. We got a little caught up in the moment, though, and didn't get any photos this time. We are gonna do American McGee's Alice and a Goth version of the Mad Hatter for the barrister's ball this coming Halloween though; mebbe that was what you were thinking of?

That's what I was thinking of, yeah.

Oh mah goodness.

Fuck, I LOVE this thread :D Seriously, gothic hotness, conversation, and good music, what's not to like?

Gigi, you are the best! =)

I liked that. What makes it "Acid" techno?

The squealing synthesiser. Not so obvious in this tune but it's there. Also, the whooping animal sound adds to it. It's very percussive though.... so...

I dunno, it flows well in acid techno sets.

I'm really trying to grok the terminology of the various stripes of electronic/etc music. It's bloody complex.

If it troubles you so, just call it techno. Some acid techno is obvious with the squealing synths very forward and dominating.

Try some Guy McAffer (Geezer) or Solar Quest.

Goth girls are hot. No ifs ands or buts about it.

Also a fan of the burlesque look... rawr.

Finally some pictures of me with makeup on.

I'm going out tonight, so these will most likely be up until tomorrow, but then they'll go *poofsies*, so enjoy while they're still here. :D
*dutifully enjoying*

2nded

There arent any goth girls where I live :(, just fat 13 yo chavs who go to the park, binge drink and then get chatted up by some 15 wannabe yo gangsta, they go round the back of the car park, have unprotected sex and 9 months later shes got a baby she dont want at 14, looking after it on her own coz her parents have disowned her.

Good question.

I think it has something to do with the skin tone and facial features you start with. The scenery and her attire in those pics also contribute to the goth feeling.

But take me for instance. Au natural, and notwithstanding Homburg's opinion, I have a very 'sweet girl' kind of look. My bone structure, skin tone, and smily eyes all contribute to this 'good girl' look I think. So, in my case, in order to pull off the goth look, I have to go for heavy dark eye make-up and dark lipstick. And even then, I think I'd only look like a good girl trying to pass as a goth girl!

On the other hand, a very good friend of mine *cough cough* is very much like Cat's daughter: she wakes up in the morning with no make up on no black clothes on and she still has the goth look going on.

I agree. I think much of the gothic makeup aesthetic is a stern and dramatic face overall and one who might have more of those features naturally needs less make up.

I noticed that, having put on some weight in the face, it's a bit harder for me to get this down right anymore. -sigh-

This is supposed to be a Goth Girl Background.
Only the poetry around her body strikes me as Goth, which I love right now.
I do however like the tying. I think someone else will too. :D

Thanks for reviving this thread, LadyCrow. We needed this around here.
