I have very long hair also. Tied up or braided keeps it from sticking everywhere when you get good and sweaty. Every tried to turn over or repostion your self when someone or thing is tangling your hair up a preventing you from moving.

I think I'm gonna keep on growing my hair out for the time being. I had really short hair back after my oldest child was born, and it must have just been a crappy cut, because no matter what I did, I always looked like my high-school gym teacher, which would have been okay if that had been the look that I was after.

The last straw was when I was standing in line at McDonald's and the woman at the register said, "Can I help you, sir?"

I kept my hair short for years - my professional business chic look, I guess. After moving to California about 5 years ago, I decided to change my look and started growing it out. It's taken all those years, but I love it long and I refuse to cut it short no matter how much my hairdressers always want me to try something new. Guys like it long, too.

One thing I always did with my ex was keep a hair tie on my wrist. I loved having my hair down and using it to tease him. But I found that there would come a time that he would get anoyed with it. This thread isn't about hair removal, because I figured there were quite a few of those threads floating around already. It doesn't seem like the stuff on our heads gets talked about all that often.

I'm growing my hair out (yet again) and it's just below my shoulders. Lately, however, I've been getting really annoyed with how my hair gets in the way during sex. The only hair that gets in my mouth during a blow job is my own!

I have to admit, though, that, despite my occasional annoyance, I'm torn when it comes to putting it up out of the way, because I like for my hair to be long(ish) and loose when I'm having sex.

What do the rest of you prefer? Not that I'll cave in to peer pressure. I'm just nosy.

My hair is medium to long, and I either pull my hair to the side or put it in a hair band. I also like it when he pulls on my hair to keep it in place.

I know the feeling of chopping your hair to the neckline, and when it starts growing back, you have to deal with all the frustrations. It's always in your face, your mouth, and you try to tie it up for it to only fall out again. You can't win for losing.

She has been growing it out (both in length and the hair coloring) and it is now getting to be down past the top of her shoulders. She'll probably get it cut soon to get rid of the rest of the "color treated" hair.

Unless the color treated hair is damaged, if it is lighter than her natural color, she doesn't 'have to' cut it off. She could visit the salon and ask a professional to apply a 'deposit' only color treatment in her natural color, and keep the length, if she wants to ..

Tough to say though, without actually seeing her hair ...

***(i say 'professional' because someone with experience will have a better sense of judgement in choosing the correct shade, and in choosing the color correction procedures in general. i'd choose a color system which only *deposits* pigment ... no need for one which also 'lifts' and alters the color .. if it IS a lighter tone on those ends).

I chose "other" mostly because I don't do one thing or another, just whatever mood strikes me/my partner at the time.

My hair is curly so only SEEMS to be about shoulder length. It's really much longer when wet.

What I do is keep a hair-clippy thing next to the bed. Easy to twist my hair up and out of the way, and pull off if I want it down. It's also easy for *him* to clip it or unclip it depending on *his* mood, too.
