I agree with that, mostly because the scene of Dumbledore begging struck me as the most out of character thing I've read in the entire series.

I am signed up on the Barnes and Noble waiting list for a first copy. I am going to hide for the weekend and read it all.

I think... Harry will live...that Snape (who will die) is mostly good although maybe reluctantly so...that Ron and Hagrid will die saving Harry...

yay !! Adult Harry Potter Fans!!!
I just read the series last year and I can't wait for the (booo!) final book. Maybe she'll get a change of heart and right more. I used to think HP was dumb before I watched any of the movies. Then I did a catering event for AMC and they were having a sneak preview for HP 2 and I snuck in and watched part of it. Realized it wasn't that bad. So I started watching the movies, then my girlfriend's daughter who lives with us had all the books and read them as she was growing up let me borrow them. Seeing the movies before reading the books I loved the movies. Now I'm kind of disappointed in the movies cause of all the stuff they left out. But I'm still looking forward to the new movie!

I agree with you on the movies not being as good as the books, I as well started out watching the movies and then read the books. The first two books were so much smaller, hardly anything was left out, those books could have been screenplays by themselves, now the last couple have been nearly 3 times as big, yet the movies remain about the same in length.
 
Im a huge Harry Potter fan. I have read each of the books about 5 times. I dont know what it is about them, but I love reading them.

Love the movies, too. Although, I have to admit that I thought the first two were better than the last couple. Hogwarts was changed all around in the third one, so it wasnt nearly like the books at all, and the fourth one left out a bit too much. I wanted to see the Dursleys react to the Weasleys coming out of their fireplace. Oh, well. :D

As far as what I think is going to happen in the last one. . . I think Harry and Voldemort end up killing each other. Avada Kadava at the same time.
 
I wasnt a fan at all.
but then last year i wound up winning the Harry Potter box which contained Harry Potter 1-4 and now i love them, LoL

But then again, one of my fave actors plays in it.

I think it's pretty interesting. I was talking with a friend of mine who is ultra Potter fan and she loves it. I think it reveals a lot without giving anything away. The locket around Harry's neck. What looks to beeither ruins or the Ministry of Magic in th background. All of the "people" surrounding him. And of course the boney hand reaching for him belongs to......

RAB, You guys think its Black? He did survive 2 weeks after he left the death eaters.

I think in J.K's first ending, is that harry died fighting voldy. I think now that harry doesn't die, but i believe that ron or hermy might die now instead.

I think Snape is evil, but i also think that Dumbledoor is also not going to be perma dead. I think something like the Obi one thing happens. *agreed with the poster that said that*.

I would like to see Neville help Harry with Voldy, like say he is the one. I don't think that would happen.

I agree with RAB. He is most definately Regulas A. Black and that is soooooo kool.

Harry lives ...I think, but as for Ron AND Hermione dying... not sure. JK has stated that two people die in this book, but it could be more like Lupin and Hagrid as much as it could be Ron and Hermione.

As for Snape, arguments can be made for both sides. I think he is still good, Dumbledore begged Snape to kill him because he didn't want Draco doing it. Snape was bound by the Unbreakable Vow and really had no choice. PLUS he had an oppotunity right at the end of HBP to take Harry out, but didn't. He is still a spy for The Order, but that is going to be hard to prove. Dumbledore however is dead... permanantly. HOWEVER, all past Hogwarts Headmasters have paintings in the Headmaster/Headmistress Office... so Dumbledore lives on in there :)

Well here is what we know about the horicruxes.

Tom Riddles Diary Destroyed
Locket - I believe its in Black Manor and has been seen.
Ring - Destroyed.
Hufflepuff Goblet - Most likely hidden
The Snake - Is with Voldy
I believe this one to be the Trophy but not to strongly, but it has been in the books at some point.
the last one is actually Voldy. He only split made 6 is my guess. The seventh was to be made when he killed Harry. When it didn't work, then he never made another as his power was destroyed.

Here is why I don't believe harry to be a horcrux. Voldy was trying to kill Harry. So why would he destroy the horcrux? The scar is actually a residue from the killing curse that harry was protected from. I would think that something that was in the house, could have become the horcrux though. Does anyone know what was left to harry from his family, besides the invis cloak? I wouldn't think that item would be it.

Any one catch the show on A&E this evening on Harry Potter? They showed so much from "The Order Of The Phoenix". I usually abstain from watching clips of movies I plan on seeing but because I already know the story, I decided to watch. It looks so good. Looks like they've done a good job on it, can't wait :)

I liked the movie, for the most part, just can't believe the stuff they left out from the book, and the things they changed, like Cho being the one who betrayed the DA.
