ripper...go to your profile at the top click privacy then make sure it says start conversations with you either set it to members only or all visitors. for some reason it defaults to no one until you change it. Also...there is a list of mods...I am not the only one i work a full time job so as a warning to who ever messages me at times I am not answering quickly.

this might sound odd but can you try logging in with your old name? we did have a chatter who changed thier name and they were able to log into chat with thier old name and only into the forums with the new...there is a bit of a disconnect between chat and forum.

You have been banned from Chat, but I was unable to PM you to tell you why as you have feedback/messaging turned off. You need to enable this under 'My Options' in your Profile if you want feedback.
Also in your Profile you can change your status from 'Virgin' (refers to being new in the forums) to whatever you want.
