I am having a change of heart on term limits. I have always come at it from the angle of the person and the constituents, they decide if that person should represent them, if…, they are involved and making an informed decision.

But. They usually are not. The partisan factions get out at election time on the local level and incumbency becomes very powerful, which would be good in many ways but, people have memories. They may compromise, because something must be done according to their constituents, an entertaining lot for the most part, hold grudges, they keep score and they eventually end up engaging in tit-for-tat on every issue and they become ossified like the old politburo. (This gives us a Biden too.)

Now, I am viewing it less in terms of the individual and more in terms of the corporate body.
