Hook up with college Profs ????

(Personally, I did have a relationship with a TA, but I don't count that because, I mean, come on - he was a TA! xD Students who happen to have already taken the class and done well enough in it to be asked to help others doesn't rise to the same level of scrutiny as professors lol, but that's just my opinion ;))

I had a female psych tutor who i thought was hot as - but sadly she married one of our professors :p

Miss you Holly :p

I've never encountered it IRL. But I cant say it would surprise me. I think it would be more likely to happen when the student isnt actually in the class. And I think its wrong to blame the legal community for making it taboo. Personally, I was in a class where the Professor (who I was not attracted to, and was significantly older than I, not to mention suffering a chronic illness) would noticeably stare at me during the entire class. It was a smaller class and I had to deal not only with the uncomfortable leering but also the fact that every one of my classmates had noticed. I think that the main reason there are these issues is that everyone deserves to work/ learn in an environment where they feel safe and free from harassment or unwanted advancements.

Hi NewLegz,
I read your post and I was so sorry to read what happened to you. :( That sucks!! I so agree that students should always feel like their in a safe and harassment free zone. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO PUT UP WITH UNWANTED ADVANCEMENTS!!! At least in my case and only my case--my prof made a move and I said yes. Silly me would've said yes even if I didn't need the grade. I found out that I was only one of MANY freshmen that needed lab assistance my second semester. One girl he approached was obviously upset and to his credit--he backed off instantly. I for one would've been at the head of the line if he hadn't! LOL Good post and thanks for giving us something to think about. :)
