Horrotica rewriting stories without crediting the source

A couple of points. I did not look at the 2 stories, but looking through Pilot's examples that is way to much t be coincidence.

My other point is the link I posted is to a thread about erasing stories and the defendant is in it saying "Yes, that is what Laurel told me" so he has looked into erasing stories perhaps after the OP commented on his story that it was stolen.

Another point is Laurel is in this thread, she has read it. If the defendant remains on this site then that means she has chosen to not be concerned with it. Whether that is right or not I'm not sure, but it means our opinions are not going to matter. It would just be a shame of this was allowed with no consequence.

Want to also make a point to give Mistresslynn credit for being classy here. She said she read the story (and it is obvious from the examples) but twice simply urged the op to go to Laurel without hurling accusations at the other author. Very classy.

Thanks. I did read them. Many paragraphs.

But I should have remembered the button for reporting a story. That was a failure on my part.

There's no reason that authors here can't look out for other authors here independent of what Laurel chooses to do. (The only thing she posted to this thread was that people should use the report button. She didn't say she was going to look into anything.) If an author posts here that his/her stories are being swiped, loosely rewritten, and reposted here--and they provide conclusive evidence--I think it's just fine and dandy for other authors here to support them. It jolly well could happen to any of us who are authors here.

Support the "robbed author" yes its the right thing to be supportive.

My point is that laurel is the only one who determine what should be done with the offending author so no sense in repeatedly going after that person.

You are joking, right?

Try practicing what you preach.

I understood what you meant, Catchalot. Thanks.

And (A) there has been no long, drawn-out pursuit of Horrortica on this. LC is just trying to backpeddle, and (B) there's no reason not to keep pointing out what is so obvious (in support to a complaining probable original author bearing good evidence) as long as Horrortica continued to claim it was just coincidence. It's not exactly been pursued--certainly not like LC pursues me across the boards--and Horrortica may be gone now. The topic has been winding down--or was until LC wound it up again trying to do a 180.

I don't care whatever Laurel does or doesn't do about. A Lit. author with good evidence brought a charge of plagiarism to the board. I checked it out, considered the evidence good, and supported a fellow Lit. author on the boards. LC's just being mealymouthed as part of his ongoing attacks on me.

If my story was similar to the one being quoted then it was completely by accident on my part.
Similar? Really?

I was trying to be nice about this but as everyone who read both stories saw, you stole the set-up, the plot and cherry-picked lines right out of my story. The only way to do this is to have them side-by-side.

What REALLY ticked me off is that you had the gall to post it not just to Literotica as "your" story, but to other sites, as well.

I was hesitant to report this at first, but now I'm glad I did.

Theft is theft. Had you apologized for the "coincidences" I would have been more gracious and forgiving. You chose to deny the undeniable and that speaks volumes about your "character."

To the authors that read both and saw the same plagiarism I did -- and noted it with examples from the first three paragraphs-- THANK YOU for your support.
