I am 26, although most don't believe me. ;)
I still think your making it up so people tell you that you look great for your age ;) which you do...

I've got a few weeks until 41, and turning 40 still has not sunk in. It is so hard to think about being 5 or 6 and wondering what it would be like to be a grown up,where did all the years go how did they pass so quickly? what do I have to show for my life?christ am I depressed now

About the same here, 41 the first week of September. I can remember thinking I would be 36 when the millennium hit - and how I couldn't imagine getting to that age.

Now I've been there done that. All I need is the T-shirt.

42 in October.

I can remember being in primary school thinking I would never make it to high school, and now I am a wife, a mother, and I have my own job! I wouldn't ask to go back for anything! I am living in the moment. :)

I'm 45, but don't always act it. A couple weeks ago while kayaking on a local river, I realized I was the only adult waiting in line for the rope swing.

That's so funny. I'm your age, and I do things like that too. I'm always hoping it's not a reflection of my level of maturity. :)

Someone I know uses a quote from Groucho Marx as a sigline: "A man is only as old as the woman he feels."

I like to think of it more as a "you're as old as you feel" sort of thing. I don't feel old when I do stuff like that, although the day after I did....was really sore in the shoulders.

As old as you feel.... I think about that a lot... I came to the conclusion that I never felt a certain age... When I was younger I had a lot of expectations and also about what and where I would be at certain ages. I even imagined how I would feel I guess. It never worked out that way. I'm not disappointed but everything just 'went' different. Although I do remember of course how I felt at certain ages I can't say that I feel like an earlier age now. I am 42 and I'm not supposed to know how 42 feels until you've been there... I know I don't feel like I thought I would feel at 42 when I was younger.... does that make sense? Do I feel younger? I guess so, but maybe that has something to do with where I am in my life. I have never been married and I have no children. My current and last BF are younger than I am but I don't think that is a big influence on how I feel. I tend do do the younger stuff rather than going towards the older stuff in life. And in the end I'm not ashamed or whatever about my age. Why should I be? It brought me some level of (thank God! ;) ) maturity ass wel, something I wouldn't trade for what I was at 18...
