I ought to do that! I've lost some of my motivation for running, after notching up more than 1000 miles in the last calendar year and achieving in October my lifetime goal of completing a marathon. I guess I ought to start planning something else.Anyone want to set some goals and post every day?

Why, thank you! I was certainly walking on air for some time afterwards (although part of that may have been the blister that I sustained on my left foot).I remember that, you were thrilled and your recovery was outstanding.
I won't do triathlon as I hate swimming. I've considered tough mudders but I'm concerned about damage to my right knee, which has previously given me lengthy trouble. I like best your idea about a series of challenges. The marathon that I did last year was unique in passing through two different countries (albeit with Wales defined as a country!), so maybe there's something else that I can do along the same lines. If running is not so inspirational in straight forward way what about something like tough mudders? Or triathlon? Or a running challenge like marathon /half marathon in each county ?
She certainly does!Yes, please do. Don't want to be the only one. Elle gives good suggestions
I'm so glad that your knee is okay! Posture, balance and butt can all be worked on in much quicker time -- I'm sure that your Master will enjoy helping with that! After seeing my physio on Friday, I am going to focus initially more on that, as my physio said rhat for me there is no bad exercise, just exercise done badly He then explained in no uncertain terms that I need to work on my posture, balance and butt! And I have painful thigh homework. But good news is rhat my knee (which I was worrying about) is ok
I think I will continue with some brisk walking and some stationary bike for now. Am watching my calories too, so it is all good.
That's a compelling offer! Thanks! I'll contact you privately to check out when and where that might be.If you decide to do one in my county, we are a steward point for the local half marathon, so your wife could stay in side and keep warm most of the time with me , or help me make tea /coffee for the stewards and you guys could park here, not in the horrid mess they have for parking, .
G and little guy ran it unofficially ( obviously, because of little guy) last year. Little guy thought all the stewards were here to welcome him home from his jog and was wagging his tail and carrying on .
The offer gets better and better!Well......we could do some thing after....... You guys could take a salt bath here ( its big enough for two) then have suitable re nourishment with us. .
As I understand it from what G was saying, for men its more effective to work out on an empty stomach, then eat but for women to eat first then not eat for at least ninety minutes. So I start asking him about why and if they have determined why sex link would be involved and he just starts laughing and reminding me that that aspect is not HIS interest ( he is in no way, shape or form a scientist!).
It always makes me happy to see you poet. .
I had always in the past not eaten before exercise. A bit like this
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...E-breakfast--youll-burn-20-cent-body-fat.html
But Gianbattista says that there is something in the press today about it being better for fat burning for women to eat before exercise. I cannot find it to read 'the science'. This is not really relevant to me, yet. , but I still take an interest....
No, not working out,.....new physio regime. . Three times a week. I have been on the waiting list for a long time. . Physio and yoga.....that's all for me. Occasional potter with dogs, though none this week....the weather is so horrid they don't want to go out. I want to be able to work out though, I don't miss exercise so much, but it miss being fit, and slim and I really miss those endorphins. G works out a lot. He goes to the gym twice a day when not here, and runs on the days he is here. He takes a yoga class with my teacher, but not as often.
If I stop being around is it ok if we keep in touch Poet?
I plan to stay...you know, but if I don't....
