Ice-Do

My head doesn't usually get inflated toooooo much.. I have a ready supply of pin-equipped folks to pop it when needed... *grins*

And thank you! Yes, I'm tickled now that I have an avatar. It's one of the better pictures of me out there.

Missed you at the munch last night, hope all is going well. Maybe next time, eh?

That'll teach me to ignore my email account.... I didn't know there was one.

icy condoms

I tried filling a condom with water & freezing it once - left it on a flat tray and the ting was decidedly flattened (severely flattened) on one side & clearly not usable. I've since read that you DO NOT want to use ice dildoes for anal sex play due to frozen tissue concerns. I assume the same applies to using one in a pussy. Play safe, and please research things before you do something new, exciting and stupid.

I've used one in the puss. I kind of enjoyed the odd flattened side. I love temperature play in general. Ice was quite the challenge. After a while there were delightfully painful cramps but they soon grew so intense I had to remove the ice dildo...for a while.

I don't think there were any long term effects of a negative nature.

Just putting in my request for those naughty pictures. ;) I can't wait to see how this one works out!

From my days of physical thearapy, I already had some ice safety knowledge...

but for those interested in creating toys like I am... here is some good advice and things to watch out for.

http://www.frugaldomme.com/dangers/dangers3.htm

The artcile says that really cold ice is dangerous because it is sharper. Another article reminds us that it's a good idea to freeze a retrivale device into the ice if we plan on inserting it into an orfice. (hence my handle wishes, else I will resort to a string of some type or another).

Also, frostbite to extremeties. Obviously the ice can be dripped and played along the body as I have shown with my breasts (I would say definitely under 15 minutes per hour, 10 to be safer). And that no ice should be inside the body longer than 5 minutes as this might cause a drop in our core temperature (hypothermia). And really, who wants to spoil a good time like that?

I also, suggest, running the end product through your hands enough to melt some so that you KNOW it's smooth and there is no hard edge that will scrap your lover's skin.

I have yet to see anything saying it is dangerous to put ice in you anus - but I hadn't really been planning on letting that happen anyhow... because I know that such a thing would give me a cold chill and that would spoil my fun.

I also just read an article that suggests freezing cucumbers... which are mostly just water anyhow. So there's an easier idea for those of you who are lazy doms.

Recognizing frostbite:

http://www.ehow.com/how_6320_recognize-frostbite.html

Treatement of frostbite:

Excerpt:

http://www.umm.edu/altmed/ConsConditions/Frostbitecc.html

"t's important to get conventional medical care as soon as possible for frostbite. Mild frostbite is treated by rewarming the affected area, washing it with an antiseptic, applying a sterile dressing, taking daily whirlpool baths, and resting in bed. If medical care is not available immediately, rewarm a mildly frostbitten area in a bath of warm water. It's important not to use hot water, fire, a household heater, or the like (unless warm water is not available) because these methods may burn the skin before the feeling returns. Remove any jewelry from the affected area before rewarming because the area may swell. Never rub or massage frozen body parts, and avoid walking on a frostbitten foot if possible."

The best recommendation I can make is have a doctor or nurse you can call immediatley, follow the treatements recommended while you wait for help - and uhm, buy a first aid book or take a course just to be prepared for any such emergency.

For those of you will want to recall these resources long after this thread has vanished from memory, I have just posted the links in an appropriate links thread: Links to help and other places to look

Cutting PVC (for Skyline blue)

In a pinch, one can cut PVC pipe with some nylon string. Cut a piece of string about three feet long. Find a way to hold down the PVC pipe. Wrap the string halfway around the pipe in a "U" shape. Hold each end of the string in different hands, and "saw" back and forth. One can cut the pipe in a few minutes like this and it is surprisingly easy. Be careful, the string gets hot.

That sounds so interesting I'd like to try it just to see it work... but I'm afraid that without proper clamps to hold the pvc down, I couldn't do it without help... I have some nice clamps but no real work surface... I have a kitchen table but it's really lame and wobbly... so I'd need someone to help me. But I will catalog this information for future reference... I think I will try the local hardware store near where I work and see if they sell smaller sectionf of pvc or can cut the pvc for me. I know the hardware store I worked at in college would do that for customers.

Clear Ice

The more pure your water, like distilled, the more clear your ice cube. If you care.

The ice-do was 6.5 inches in length, 1.5 inches wide at it's widest point, and about 1 inch at it's narrowest point. I also found that the end was a little rough and would need to be softened out through a little melting before use.

*smiles and sighs* Tease.... You know you do NOT have to do this alone. There are several of us that would be happy to lend a hand with this experiment....

*LOL*

Who would you like to volunteer? I know all kinds of sadistic folk who would help. Come to think of it... we could probably arrange this for a demo. :nana:

*B-) *

I have a friend, one from here, that is hopefully going to visit in October for a weekend of shall we say - fun? Perhaps he will want to take me to my first play party and perhaps I could be convinced to bring along some of my prototypes in a cooler.

Hehehehe... I'm not volunteering anyone yet, I'm negotiating parameters. 1 PYL? 2? 4? Spotters?

for a play parter?

i don't know any of you.

True enough. But time and communication can correct that condition.

And remember, you were the one who said:
