Idaho's new controversial library bill causing backlash, means some libraries have to close altogether

Sadly, its a matter of time anyway and has nothing to do with politics-although people here will make it that way-this generation has a tablet in their hand at 3 and raised on devices not books, and with every thing available online, e-books, audio, etc...why should they leave their house to go get a book? That and mom and dad can't be bothered to take them because they're too busy net surfacing and streaming and playing video games to be bothered.

Never mind just Libraries, all physical media is headed for extinction.

As bB says ...this is reasonable

All those Christmas books too ....adult!

House Bill 710 explicitly states that a book that an adult deems inappropriate, has to be relocated to the adults-only section in the library.

sensible

how can anyone argue with this?

they have it for movies, amusement rides, eateries and so many other place

POUTAGE
So if I head down to the county fair and say the merry go round is inappropriate for kids they have to move it to a different area?

If you don't tell others that you are ignoring a person, it doesn't work.

Libraries can be accessed on those devices without ever leaving the home.

Yeah. I can't see that. :)
Donā€™t need you to see it, just will need to call your stupidity out for others to see.

Most will see it on their own, I realize that. I see it as a public service.
