Not long ago I read an article on sexual predators. It gave a lot of statistics and one thing nearly all sexual predators, particularly pedophiles was they all had experienced some sort of incest as a child or teen. I had heard and read other things similar to this in the past, but this was using recent studies of both law enforcement and psychiatric's of relatively recent studies that have been done. I would have to find the article again, but the years seem to be 2000 through 2012, if memory serves. This alone should tell us incest is not right or a good thing in nearly every instance. True also that most of the assailants are relatives. However, this really only establishes the connection that SP's are usually created by other SP's. Those studies are specific to the concerns about SP's and don't really explore how many healthy incest relationships actually exist. Because it is in fact a crime in most places, it is doubtful we will ever know the true statistics behind this. I do however agree with you that anything to do with a minor or done without consent is unacceptable.

While I have indulged in the fantasy side of incest with partners in the past, I don't engage in nor have any desire to have any involvement with actual members of my family. However, I don't have issue with consenting adults involved in such activities. As for the legal side of things, I think this falls on the side of what is best for the general population. Maintaining the unlawfulness of any incest (even consensual) likely does protect many minors and young adults from exposure to things that could potentially be damaging to their development. That doesn't make the law right or without flaw, just that the good outweighs the bad in having these laws in place.

To the OP asking "Is it a sin?". That's really up to you. Sin comes down to your personal beliefs. My only advice is that if you feel remorse, regret or guilt for such things, then it's probably not the right path for you. Just because you are a consenting adult doesn't mean that you can't have a negative reaction from this or any other experience.

Agreed!! In our family we have always believed that any sex that is simply sex for fun shouldn't be considered wrong. The only thing we have made taboo is vaginal penetration betwee mother/son, father/daughter, and brother/sister to avoid pregnancy since we don't believe in using protection.
