Had to pick up one of the cats at the vets on fri. 225 bucks
Vet said, if this don't work, it will be surgery. Between 1 and 3 thousand dollars.
Um, sorry kitty, but that wont be happening.
And the night before, saw a starving kitten crying on the side of the road.
Yeah, i got her.

The surgery? Weird lumps under the tongue. Makes it very hard to eat. They're treating it with anti biotics, but they say it's a long shot.
She does seem better though and is eating.
I rescued her 13 yrs ago and she's a fave, but i can't pay thousands to save her.

She only had one that we could find ( so far ), but abandoned it for reasons unknown. So we placed it with the most recently birthed litter.

And then a pair of wide eyed kittens spontaneously emerged from a corn elevator.

That raises the latest tabbylation to 24.

There are more kittens than adult cats on my property, which at last head count was 22.

Added 2 last week. Turns out one of them is blind

I have an almost blind guy in the house. His eyes were infected and swollen shut. After anti-biotics, they opened up - but the lenses were permanently clouded up. Then a cyst in the left developed and burst within a few days. Fortunately, he can see well enough out of the right to live a normal life.

Unfortunately, we lost 2 of the newborns this week.

The starving kitten i found on the road last week didn't make it.
I stop in kingsville tx once or twice a week to feed a mangy crippled feral. She needs a vet badly but i can't get near her.
Probably just as well, but it breaks my heart everytime i see her.

Yep, i got the cats
Now all i need is some yellow polyester pants, a straw hat with a daisy on it, and a shopping cart full of cans and i'm all set.

As if I don't already have enough cats to take care of, tomorrow I apply for PT work in the kitty department of the animal shelter that fixes our kids.
