Rules of Civil Procedure, and case law don't apply to impeachment trials by the senate. They can invoke their own rules. Remember when Lindsey Graham wanted to invoke the rules of evidence and procedure? Impeachment is a purely political process and the Dems. made it into a sham.

The e-mail had no bearing whatsoever on what Trump said to Zelensky on that phone call. The issue was NOT whether or not Hunter Biden was causing any problems in Ukraine, it was that Trump was using reports to that effect as a bargaining chip to get Zelensky to do his political bidding. If HB was doing anything illegal or damaging to US interests, there was a right way for the US government to address that, and that way is not for the president to call Ukraine's president and threaten to withhold aid if he didn't find some dirty laundry.

It's an article about Hunter Biden's influence on foreign policy. Granted, it seems to be related to an email that is similar to previous statements, somehow taking on more meaning.

The truth on that is that state Department officials brought up Hunter as "undercutting" US influence on efforts to address Ukraine corruption. That has always been true and known.

The impeachments of Mr. Trump we’re not unconstitutional. Impeachment is a political process and nothing in the Constitution prohibits silliness. Both impeachments were constitutional and both properly resulted in acquittal.
